"The lions of Islam have avenged our Prophet," Abu Mussab, who fights for IS insurgents in Syria, told Reuters via internet connection. "These are our lions. It's the first drops – more will follow," he said, speaking via an internet connection from Syria. He added that he and his fellow fighters are happy about the incident.
Mussab said he did not know the gunmen who carried out the attack, but added "they are on the path of the emir [IS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi]....and our Sheikh Osama (bin Laden)."
Reports suggest that the cartoons portraying Prophet Mohammed published earlier by the satirical paper were the reason for the attack. The gunmen reportedly called out the victims by name, shouting: “We have avenged the prophet."
The religion of peace at it again.

That comment by (someone called) Donohue which you posted above and with which you said you agreed, contained this statement;
"But neither should we tolerate the kind of intolerance that provoked this violent reaction."
The cartoons in Charlie Hebdo were intolerance of intolerance, and were as a raised finger against the intolerance and the violence espoused by some (many?) followers of Islam.
They were a direct response to intolerance.
Is Donohue (and you?) saying that we should not be intolerant of people who preach violence and intolerance?
Charlie Hebdo was justified in making comments, through cartoons, about a very violent and intolerant philosophical and political position.
And the proponents of that very violent and intolerant philosophical position have, by their very deeds, justified Charlie Hebdo and proven the point the journalists were trying to make.
I will not tolerate intolerance of their right and their social responsibility to do that.

MODERATORS
Please suggest to the engineers that three reply buttons are necessary.
1. To the OP
2. To a particular poster
3. To everyone in general.
This would save people being offended, which happens quite often and leads to more offensive posts.

THE third person suspected of being an accomplice in the Charlie Hebdo attack has handed himself in to French police amid claims they got it wrong.
18-year-old Mourad Hamyd surrendered at an eastern police station after learning his name was being linked to the attacks in the news, said the Paris prosecutor spokeswoman Agnes Thibault-Lecuivre. She did not specify his relationship to the Kouachi brothers.
It was not clear what role, if any, he played in the attack.
Classmates of the teenager have backed his innocence by advising authorities he was in class at the time of the terror attack.
“Please, he was in [school] all morning, he’s in my class,” a school mate tweeted, adding she had only spoken to him about five times and did not feel the need to defend him.

Revenge attacks and retaliation begin: Mosques come under fire with guns and 'grenades' in France… and kebab shop near another Muslim temple is blown up
Once again, the whole religion is being attacked over the actions of a few.
I am waiting for the Christian religion to be attacked, and churches to be bombed, every time a "Christian" person commits an atrocity.

All the same to me pal, with slight variations.Like all religions, they have one thing in common. They're practised by idiots.
ok, so you wanted to show, as you said,
that christianity was as poisonous as the others
and posted a link to a youtube video under
"Christianity"
but because you don't know the difference,
what you ended up with was information about
circumcision practice according to Orthodox Jewish
tradition and Female Genital Mutilation.
