Parliment will be more respectful with the LNP running it

I guess the mad monk thinks we all have the stereotypical 'memory of a goldfish'....

It is a promise......another to be broken, that parliment will be respectful

http://au.news.yahoo.com/a/19754668/abbott-promises-respectful-new-parliament/

Addressing the West Australian Liberal branch at its annual conference on Saturday, Mr Abbott pledged a parliament that "discusses the issues, rather than abuses individuals".

The prime minister said the parliament wouldn't impugn the motives of opponents or trash their reputations.

If anyone tried to go over the top, new Speaker Bronwyn Bishop would sort them out.

"And I am confident that after just a few weeks of the new parliament - that parliament that diminished our policy and embarrassed our citizens over the last three years - will soon seem like just a bad memory," Mr Abbott said.

SWF, interesting way of display the 2013 AEC federal election results:

"Primary votes 2013 election:
Labor:4,311,365-33.38%
Liberal:4,134,865-32.02% "

But for some reason ( ?????? ) you have, much like our non science aware SRBA, decided to present a pruned/selected dataset. Considering the actual result (seats) and the formal Coalition,  your  post should read :

Primary votes 2013 election:
Labor:        4,311,365- 33.38%
Coalition:  5,882,818- 45.55%

I know the first table will give you a warm glow, but writing it does not make it so, sorry!.

" If you donโ€™t count the 1930s split, it is Laborโ€™s worst result since 1903. Laborโ€™s 2PP vote is 46.6%, a -3.6% swing and lowest since 1996 when the previous Liberal government was elected."

it was however a long way from the predicted landslide, a deficit that can be made up in one election. Smiley Happy

Not so much sour grapes nero.Their boat policy is an abject failure and they've managed to rile the Indonesians. Not a bad effort in just a few weeks.
On top of that they've shafted the lower income earners (superannuation), bumped up the price of cigarettes after criticising the Labor party for the doing the same thing and are sacking public servants.I look forward to the polls in the new year.:-)

So you want us to discuss the past.. Julia, Kevin.. or the oppostion (who are not in power to make decisions). and not even mention Tony Abbott and his failures so far? (I see he already has a nickname of Mr Fibbitt)

No I don't care, but don't forget to pick up your little halo's from around your little ankles.

Very mature response. If that is all you can come up with, why bother quoting and replying to parts of my posts? I see that as an inderpersonal attack.

the press gallery were pressing foreign minister bishop today about an additional 2 boats, and she clammed up and referred the matter back to morrison , jules wanted to keep on topic (emergency aid to ppines) but had no hope of doing so as the journo's were champing at the bit.  morrison might mention them at his weekly grumpfest. he's mad as hell.  Smiley LOL
