Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Pauline Hanson has declared she'll lead the One Nation Party once more, and its first electoral test will come next year when Queenslanders go to the polls.

The party's executive unanimously backed Ms Hanson's return as leader at a meeting a few weeks ago and members are expected to formally endorse her at a meeting on November 29.

The serial candidate has insisted on her name being included once more in the party's brand.

But she insists the move to rebrand the party as Pauline Hanson's One Nation has nothing to do with ego.

"I have no ego," she told the Seven Network. "But I think that people relate to me."

She said she wasn't going to repeat past mistakes and allow people to infiltrate the party and destroy it from within.

"I'll take total control of it myself," she said.

"If I don't succeed then it'll be my fault. But no one's going to pull my strings. No one's going to tell me what to say."

She said the reborn party's first test would come early next year at the Queensland election, and she was also aiming to win a seat in the federal parliament.

Re: Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

I just heard Laws detailing the $$$ she got for the last couple of tries.  $200,000 or more each time.  And he says that he likes her, so he is using research for those figures, not rumour.

Glee - "I thought she made it from her marriage and relationship splits, prior to discovering the electoral cash that is."

I don't think she walked off with any big $$ from her splitting with her 1st or 2nd husband.

Wiki

"Her father owned a take-away fish and chip shop. Hanson left school at the age of fifteen and worked in a variety of unskilled clerical and service jobs. She accumulated several rental properties, becoming independently wealthy. Before entering politics, she herself owned a fish and chip shop in Ipswich, a city near Brisbane. "

I have a fundamental objection to voting for anyone who insists the party include their name.

No Pups or Phonps for me.

QLD gets them

Pauline Hanson
"The party will stand candidates in the 2015 Queensland state election, but not in the 2015 NSW state election as the party is not registered in New South Wales, she said."

Re: Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Current insecurities, misinformation and anger over such matters as Islamic communities and terrorism are made for her political style.

“We are witnessing large amounts of our prime farming land and housing sold to foreign ownership,” she said on the One Nation website.

“The push for multiculturalism is only segregating us as a nation and not uniting us as Australians with the same values, beliefs and laws.

“Halal is being forced on us by 2 per cent of the population.

“Increased violence, educational standards well below world standard and our health care are a lot to be desired.”

She has declined to comment further until the end of the month.

Her first opportunity to contest a seat would be the Queensland elections in the first half of next year, perhaps hoping to ride some of the conservative discontent with Premier Campbell Newman into State Parliament.'

10th attempt LOL

"However, it should be remembered she has tried before and failed at every attempt but one to get into a Parliament.
Ms Hanson has nine times stood a variety of elected offices but has won just once — in Oxley in 1996 after being dumped as the Liberal candidate."

I can't see how she would make any money from an election campaign, it actually costs money to run it.

It depends how many votes you get and the percentage has been changed but it was between $1.50 and $2.50 per vote in electoral funding after the election that candidates who get a certain (small) percent of votes gets.

That surely wouldn't cover her expenses though, would it?
