Pauline Hanson To Lead One Nation Again

Pauline Hanson has declared she'll lead the One Nation Party once more, and its first electoral test will come next year when Queenslanders go to the polls.

The party's executive unanimously backed Ms Hanson's return as leader at a meeting a few weeks ago and members are expected to formally endorse her at a meeting on November 29.

The serial candidate has insisted on her name being included once more in the party's brand.

But she insists the move to rebrand the party as Pauline Hanson's One Nation has nothing to do with ego.

"I have no ego," she told the Seven Network. "But I think that people relate to me."

She said she wasn't going to repeat past mistakes and allow people to infiltrate the party and destroy it from within.

"I'll take total control of it myself," she said.

"If I don't succeed then it'll be my fault. But no one's going to pull my strings. No one's going to tell me what to say."

She said the reborn party's first test would come early next year at the Queensland election, and she was also aiming to win a seat in the federal parliament.

Woman LOL

After 9 failed attempts (standing for a variety of elected offices), hasn't she got the message yet?

Someone who genuinely seems patriotically Australian and willing to stand up for the rights of the Australian people deserves money that will go into supporting her cause imo.

I think you mean some  Australian people.

In her maiden speech last time she said we were in danger of being overrun by Asians - I wonder if she'll amend it to Muslims this time round.

Well it depends on where you live I guess.  If for example you live in Footscray or Sunshine or Springvale in Melbourne you'd be forgiven for thinking that Australia had been over run by Asians.  Dont get me wrong I have no problem with Vietnamese or Chinese people etc, I've known some that are wonderful people but there are certain pockets in Melbourne that are undeniably over run.

I'll be the first to admit, she's not really very well spoken, and possibly lacking in a certain"poilitcal charisma" which really doesn't help her cause, but I do believe that she is genuine and honest and I admire her for having the guts to keep trying.  Is she the best personality to lead the party? probably not.  Will I vote for her? probably not, but at the very least she is offering an alternative to Labor, Liberal and Greens and that will win her some votes if nothing else...

What is the problem with saying that? I'm not saying I have a problem with it, or they all should go or anything like that.  When I walk down Barkely street Footscray and every single shop is either Vietnamese or Chinese be it either a restuarant, mini mart, bakery or a  variety shop etc, I think it's fair to say that  that part of Melboure has been overrun by Asians.  Ask anyone who lives or has lived in the western suburbs of Melbourne  in the last 10-15 years.  I'm simply saying it how it is.  You can play the racist card if you wish, visit Barkley street Footscray and tell me I'm wrong.

Yes, I do think it is a racist comment. There are several areas in Sydney, that have mainly Lebanese, or Vietnamese or other nationalities living there.. I have never heard anyone say those areas are overrun by these nationalities. Most major cities in the world have a Chinatown.

What do you want them to do that suits you.. move back to Asia?

Did you actually read my post am? I actually dont have a problem with it. I like them being there.  If it wasn't for Barkley street Footscray I'd never have discovered Vietnamese food.  Every time I visit Melbourne now I have to go to my favourite resturant Phu Vinh it's called, best noodle soup you will ever taste 😉 So popular they opened up a sister resturant in Sunshine.  When nationalities are condensed like they are in some suburbs of Melbourne they seem overrun to me. I'm not whingeing about it, just making an observation of what I see.

Yes Melbournes CBD has a massive Chinatown, so does Footscray so does Sunshine, Springvale and Dandenong (and others).  I suppose it's racist me mentioning that too?

...in Melbourne you'd be forgiven for thinking that Australia had been over run by Asians.

It was the over run with Asians comment I was referring to nothing else. Sounds very Paulinesque  mid 1990's.

Please though if you are going to quote me, do it in context.  I didn't say "In Melbourne" What I said was " If for example you live in Footscray or Sunshine or Springvale in Melbourne"  Melbourne is a pretty big city.  Toorak and Camberwell are a tad overrun with Jewish people.  Broadmeadows with Turkish and Lebanese. It doesn't bother me.  Birds of a feather do tend to flock together...

Birds of a feather do tend to flock together...

and that seems to be at least a part of the problem.

Why do they flock together and not integrate with the rest of us?

Is it something we've done?

People who come here and want to live in ghettos which contain only their own socio-linguistic group are missing out. and the rest of us are missing out too.

Going out to eat Thai or Italian or Chinese food, is a rather attenuated intercultural experience, in my opinion.

maybe they don't want to mix with us because we are on the whole a society of uncultured bogans?

I guess they do it so they can be close to family and/or friends that were here before them or so they can associate with people that they can communicate easily with (especially if their english skills are limited).  It must have something to do with the govt as well. Immigration dept would, I assume, advise them of areas that will be suitable for them to live. Some would live in housing dept properties and there are areas that have a high number of public housing properties. And if you are lucky enough to be accepted into public housing you dont really have a choice where you will live.

LOL nothing wrong with bogans at least they have "culture" hehe unlike the rest of us who are told that Australia doesn't have it's own unique culture (unless you are aboriginal) and the country was founded in multi culture and so all of the so called "Australian cultural traits" are just carbon copies of "white European" cultural traits.
