Just a little change to the chat thread.
A place to chat about photo's in the competition thread (it will be an ongoing thread) and also where you can post photo's that may not quite fit in with the current weeks theme and also any other photo's you may like to show off.
As usual put creepy crawlies in a spoiler box.

This is only my opinion, I think I prefer when the chat threads were specific to the weeks theme. Not that that is an issue this week, I'm thinking of future weeks when this thread here gets quite long.
If you don't follow the photo challenge thread every week ( some people don't post photos every week, or want to make a comment every week on a photo posted) how do you find when the current weeks challenge thread chat starts when the thread is pages long?
Yes, you could just go to the end of this thread, but usually you read what others have posted first about the current challenge. The question you may want to ask, may have already been answered earlier.
Could photo posters and viewers be asked for their views in future when changes are made? Without them there would be no challenge.

Tende, I adore that photo of Spud face. What beautiful eyes!

Re photos of photos
@roserobin12 wrote:Channy's Mum some have done that in the past, ones that I recall were of family members, but it's not really in the spirit of the photo challenge is my opinion. The photo comp is a challenge us to look around and see what we can take a photo of, not just take a photo of something someone else took originally, there is no challenge in that and I would discourage that.
I myself have been stumped at times of what to take a photo of but I would never dream of taking a photo of a photo and taking something off the net is a no no.
So no, no photo's of other peoples photo's.
Edit,
This is why the chat thread has been changed a bit, to open it up to put photos here that don't qualify for the comp.
The above conflicts with this:

This issue came up in the past, on a Nostalgia theme. We discussed it and decided that there really isn't any difference between taking a photo of an artwork hanging on your wall, an ornament on the piano, or a photo sitting on the mantle piece. So long as you have taken the photo of whatever the object is, it meets the rules. Scanning an old photo is NOT allowed.
Please remember this isn't a photographic competition, it's more of a treasure hunt. Find something that fits the theme and snap a pic of it to share.

To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln. "You can please all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time."
Hang in there, Roserobin, you are doing a great job.

My last comment :). This thread was started as a chat thread to disuss the photos posted in the current weeks challenge thread.. to ask questions about the photo, more info, to compliment them etc.
I don't see why it has changed to include posters being encouraged to post photos which they think aren't good enough or don't meet the theme enough to go in the weeks Challenge thread.

I know you can't please all the people all of the time. Nothing I posted above is personal against anyone. On the other hand, posters should be able to voice their views (without getting the eyeroll posts).

I'm sure your objection has been noted and filed in the appropriate place.

I bought a new lens a couple of months ago and took it the local nursery to have a play with. These were the first photos taken with it.
I'm putting it here because my sister, niece and I all had a go and I really don't know which one of us took what. So my camera, my lens, but may or may not have been my finger pressing the button.
