Love your dolphins and your possum, tcm, but our possums are considerably different. The bloody things keep me awake some nights when they thump across my roof to get to the fruit on my lilli-pilli tree, and they're so common that I haven't even bothered to photograph them.

They will come down and take fruit directly from your hand but you need to be careful as they have extremely sharp teeth and claws and can rip you to shreds if you're not careful. I guess they're so 'tame' because they know exactly how strong they are. 🙂

Our possums are shy, but a royal pain. 

That is a baby possum.

This is what our Australian common ring-tailed possum looks like. They seem really cute, but don't be fooled. 🙂

They look very different from ours. Cuter. Ours are not cute. They have naked rat tails, and hiss when you get too close.

Ours hiss too, and even sometimes growl. That's when you know to back off.
