My picture has a tiny hummingbird nest, with the mother bird sitting on her eggs. I found the nest a couple weeks ago. I was surprised, and delighted to see the little bird (tail side forward) sitting in it yesterday.

I thought it might be a wasp nest, until I compared the size of the leaves......then I figured hummers.....

I'm going to go back with a real camera, and see if I can get a better picture. I was so surprised to see the mom in there yesterday. I wish I could see the eggs in the nest. I know that hummingbird eggs are about the size of tic-tacs. If you look closely, you can see her tail on the left side of the nest, and her beak on the right side(behind the nest). The nest is about the size of a walnut.
Pod, Great photos of the eclipse.

I went back today with a real camera to see if the hummingbird was still there. This is still a work in progress... but at least you can see the bird in these pics.

She forced me to dust off my rebel. I even took a tripod, and the better lens. What I don't have is the remote. I'm going to order one tomorrow. She was sitting on her eggs, and I was clicking away. She got annoyed with me, and flew right at the camera. I gave her the space she was asking for, and moved away from the area. It will take time for me to get a really good photo. My husband was rushing me today.
