I would like to look at this thread now and again but Pods, that pic was 2.45mb. Can you please down size them a wee bit?
Also, the heart surgeon and the Spanish tour guide. They are very beautiful but they look much better in colour.

One of the things I truly regret is not having a digital camera while I was experiencing the thrills of the navy.
For St. Elmo's fire or just in general wish you'd had a digital?

Pretty much in general..........I remember being on forward surface lookouts while we were going through water spouts, and then there was the Apollo recovery...........
Then there was the nightime activity on the flight deck..........a Phantom lighting off its afterburners immediately prior to launch is quite the sight at night.

The photos on this thread taken with DSLR cameras are really stunning! I'm creating a mental file of the tips and techniques offered just in case I ever decide to get one, lol.
Here's another photo in black & white. It gives an interesting perspective of the scene, that's for sure, but wouldn't it be awful if Mother Nature really did become stripped of all her blues and greens and purples and yellows....
