Band, My husbands mum used a clothesline in Scotland. I once asked her why she even bothered washing her clothes first, as it rained nearly everyday.

My husband's mum?  LOL

Come on now.  You know we don't say mum ever!

My husband's family grew up on a farm in Minnesota.  If they ever heard an American say mum, they'd die laughing.

Talk about trying to ingratiate.

Oh this is an interesting place.  Ha!

This is a discussion thread centred around the weekly photo comp.  This week's theme being pink.

If you have nothing to add relating to it or nothing nice to say, perhaps you should post on another thread.

Well, excuse me.

I thought what I said was nice.  I am being a good friend.  I don't want my fellow Americans to well, ... you know.

And there was nothing about the topic in the post I replied to .

I thought it was about moms or mums lol and clothes on the line.

I'll make sure to stay on topic for you, I can do that too, no problem.

"Mummy" Robot LOL will be proud of me.

TCM's mother in law would be a "Mum" if she was from Scotland, unless of course they have another term there apart from mother that I have not heard of.

TCM please don't tell me you all use clothes driers.

If you have a rotary clothes dryer do what I was taught, undies in the very middle and work your way to the outside with bigger items, wallah, no see undies.
