As the protest that was supposed to have started last Monday the 10th seemed to have been a huge failure it now seems that they are all going to try and make it this Monday the 17th in this child like school yard protest.
It will be wonderful, not a single luvvie will be posting their denials of reality or their brand of bitterness if they can all stick the protest that they failed to stick to last week.

Kilroy had that wonderful suggestion of abstaining from posting on the ridiculous proliferation of repetitive political threads for a week.
As of TODAY!
(That today was last MONDAY the 10th and what a week of protest it has been all last week..... NOT)
I would like to thank Karen post #181 on the above thread as she has made a suggestion that none of us thought of in our weekly meeting. (yes we have a weekly meeting between the posters on here)
Does it include all political threads, or only the spam ones?
What punishment applies? 😄
What about threads that start normally and turn to politics?
What about people who don't agree and continue bumping the threads?
You do realise they're planning a bombardment ;\
Thank you Karen I will be sending out a memo to the group management team suggesting we act on your great suggestion..
I wonder if it will be a freak free no political post week.... 🙂 wouldnt that be wonderful....
So will childrens group protest hold, will they all band together and all support each other in their school yard protest or will some break ranks and what punishment will they hand out to any one that breaks rank....
Should be a fun week......

Had you read the original posts or the follow up to martini's, you would have found that Kilroy's suggested date for HIMSELF was tomorrow, not last Monday.

To make next week a political thread free zone.
I pledge not open , post on , start ,talk about or read any political threads for the entire week starting next Monday.

I dont think the protest is working very well.
Whats the thoughts of the people still posting.
I notice a fair few of THE GROUPS main players are posting ona variety of political threads.
So what punishment will their leader the Martini drinker hand out, will her bully enforcers in THE GROUP ignore anyone that doesnt comply to their demands?
What punishment can she the Martini drinker dish out

Ever heard of "free/open speech" KIH ?
Even members like TRBAG and NW etc have the right to post within the Board rules. If you do not appreciate what is written, debate the various authors/comments or even join the Ostrich Club.

I would like to add that it should be in the interest of all Australians to to have political awareness but sadly some think that it interferes with their important football, weight loss, talent quest, soapies and highly rated forum threads such as " Why does my vacuum cleaners smell of dust?"
Politics and the people who are our law makers should be under scrutiny at all times otherwise the rum amok like any child.
They are the ones who decide our economy, the taxes you pay the services you get in return for those taxed and a plethora of other things that impact and impinge on our lives.
People should at least be exposed to politics and politicians who govern and those in opposition.
People have the choice of either accepting or rejecting their awareness of politics.
Those who reject that awareness accept what is fed up to them and are oblivious what is fed up to them.
Regrettably apathy reins supreme in Australia.
My advice is for people to get up off the couch and open their eyes.

You too have the choice of opening or not opening a thread and the choice of either accepting the information or rejecting it.
In everydfay life I see many advertisements and I resist them, easy peasy.
It is the abilitiy to chose that seperates the me from the sheepies 🙂
