Pop-Up Advertising Videos

I have a new problem tonight.  Every page I go to on any site I get a pop-up advertising video in the bottom right hand corner.  A lot of the time it is Allianz.  Is anyone else getting these?

Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of them.  They are so annoying and block part of the page I am on - they only last about 10 secs but once they start, you can't turn them off until the end.

I do have my pop-ups turned off.

Maybe try a different browser this might help find out if it's just a browser thing or something on your pc doing it.

Re: Pop-Up Advertising Videos

Turn pop up blocker ON. Or perhaps that's what you mean.

You may have an adware virus.

Clear cookies n cache and reboot comp.

If they are still there, restore your comp to an earlier point.

Re: Pop-Up Advertising Videos

Thanks for your suggestions.

My pop-up blocker was on but I had picked up an add-on somewhere - most likely pinterest.

I cleared my history, ran a scan and checked "manage add-ons" and there it was - Arcade Yum!  Got rid of it and all's well.

Thanks again.

Re: Pop-Up Advertising Videos

I was wrong Sandypas.  I think it was just the site I was looking at because there is nothing in add ons.  I'm not getting it here.

I don't know who put skype on my laptop though.  It must have been our visitor from England because she looked after our house and borrowed the lappy for a few days last year.
