From today's "They Said it" column in the Daily Telegraph:

"Just imagine yourself in a world five years from now, when there is no more ice over the Arctic, when we stand under threat of a rapidly warming Arctic Ocean."

The above quote from former A$180,000-per-year Climate Commissioner Tim Flannery in 2008.

Juxtapose alleged Professor's Flannery's 'moment of madness' with the hard reality...

"Arctic sea ice extent in May was 12.65 million sq km" according to the latest data on Arctic ice coverage.

It's taken a bit out of context 

Tim Flannery: Just imagine yourself in a world five years from now, when there is no more ice over the Arctic, when we stand under threat of a rapidly warming Arctic Ocean, when we're starting to see the first destabilisation of the Greenland ice cap, and all of those things happening because we don't have a solution, because if things advance that rapidly we simply will not have a solution, in terms of reducing emissions. Then you've got to start pulling in your last-ditch efforts.

Sorry you fail to gasp what he actually said.  I will try to explain:  IF we do nothing now, there will come a day that we will be in the world where we are 5 years from catastrophe, and it will be too late to do anything.

Why not read up more about the what is happening about polar ice.  There is plenty of info from reputable sources, so why are you just parroting selective misinformation by somebody paid by interest groups?
