I never said Aldi milk had a halal label, I said I thought I saw on their website that it was certified and then later corrected myself. I was rushing out the door to an appointment when I checked and must have linked to the wrong website.

interesting to see who is behind the anti halal hysteria trying to destroy Aussie businesses, so one of them is a former One Nation person, remember One Nation - the mob that were screaming about Asians taking over Australia not that long ago. They too have jumped on the anti halal - anti Muslim un Australian campaign. Now this goose is in restore Australia who were involved in the campaign against construction of a Mosque in Bendigo - $10,000 they donated....mmmmm, what a sad bunch of haters.
A campaign of misinformation

โThis campaign is one of misinformation,โ says Mathews, who likens the certification process to gaining โorganicโ status for a product.
El-Mouelhy says Halal Certification Australia is Federal Police checked and audited at the โwill of the governmentโ.
Khan argues the agenda behind the social media campaigns is to create a phobia against Muslim people.
โIt has nothing to do with halal, itโs an excuse for phobia against the Muslim population,โ he says.
He says it is the responsibility of the federal government to stop the campaigns, and if they do not, the Australian economy will suffer.
โIt can have repercussions in the importing countries that Australia at large is anti-Muslim.โ
โBusinesses should not be bowing to this kind of pressure โ it is only a handful of people. Most Australians are sensible and can make their own choice.โ
But Holt claims those businesses that โstand upโ to halal certification will see an increase in domestic business.
โWhen they stop certifying halal, their business will expand,โ he says. โWhat I would say [to a company with halal certification] is first of all, you are pandering to 2.2% of the population. You need to work out, what sort of business do you want?โ
Holt says small, local companies such as The Fleurieu Milk and Yoghurt Company have already had offers of business from interstate customers who support their decision to axe certification.
But Fleurieu sales and marketing manager Nick Hutchinson yesterday toldSmartCompany the companyโs move to let go of its certification was not because it supported the anti-halal movement.
โThereโs people who think weโre making a stand against halal, and we are not, thatโs not why weโve done it,โ says Hutchinson.
