and you dont see an issue with that?
Youve made it very clear you have no problem with halal certified products. That is your choice and i respect that.
You say you choose the products you buy "based on many things. Australian made where possible, low in Sugar, low in fat (except for milk) etc", which you can read on the labels.
So dont you think that those who pay for halal certification should therefor label their products? After all, purchasing the certification allows you to use the label.
The label will help Muslims choose halal products and it should also be on the product for those of us who do not wish to purchase halal certified products.

Milk doesn't need the halal label for a Muslim to drink it.
Anyone who wants the info can find it on their websites, it isn't a secret, perhaps they don't want to add costs to the items by having to use the labelling on all domestic products?
Added costs was one of the complaints.

No, it's not something I would get my knickers in a knot over. What would the cost be? Maybe half a cent per carton of milk?
I've got better things to do than waste my time hating.

GOODNESS SUPERFOODS are dropping their halal certification
On their fb page
"many thanks for your enquiry on the HALAL certification. As a business we recently decided to discontinue our HALAL certification for the Goodness Superfoods brand. This means we will remove the symbol from the packaging and the production processes for the Goodness range will no longer be according to HALAL standards. Trust this info helps. Have a great day "

Why on earth would anyone in Australia want to spend time and energy wondering about something as pointless as that?

I can't see that on their page and honestly, I have never heard of them, do they do anything more than cereals?

I never said that news from anywhere is pointless, I suggested that wondering about public opinion in Sri Lanka towards something which has no impact whatsover on either the politics, economics or lifestyle of Australians is pointless.
