I brought my family a home so that my children could enjoy growing up on the Coast, like I did. I want everyone in the North-West to be able to do the same.

Does he want everyone to be bring their houses too.  Perhaps strong man classes are on the agenda or big house moving trucks are on order for everyone.

I was amused by a candidate not knowing the difference between brought and bought.

But as he doesn't mention education in his campaign brochure it is obviously not that important to him.

BTW. Did anyone know Clive Palmer is going for PM of Tasmania?

Or is he running the Clive for PM campaign in other states too?

Maybe he will turn the whole place into one big holiday park  with an

under sea tunnel and run it at a profit?

And here's me thinking this thread was going to be some sort of quiz about grammar and spelling. *is disappointed*

Originally, I did too!

I type up all my "wordy" stuff.  Look away, sip the coffee.  Then re-read, putting myself in others eyes.  Will I offend anyone? Giving too much away?  Putting in necessary punctuation;  so that it says what I mean.

However, sometimes I suffer from "foot in mouth". or call a spade a shovel.

As I have taken part in helping proof read one of these things it is important to know that the candidate actually does not write any of this... his "team" do. Usually non paid staff that do it for the love of the party.

It is important to know that the amount of work that goes on behind the scene is obscene.... that is soooo much to do and so many rules and regulations that if this is the worst the campaign has to deal with then I say that is a very successful one.

It was a comment on the lack of proofreading these days.

The comment about Clive came about because his Clive for PM ad was on again for the umpteenth time.

He must think we're all stupid or something.

Arghhh, there is another month or more to go yet.

The more advertising I get the less inclined I feel to give any of them my vote.

I don't care how much work goes into it or how much is done by volunteers.

It is a simple basic primary level error that amused me, is all  😄

If not for that comment that it must have been Labor I would not have even mentioned a political party.

Sadly we have not much to pick from.

Yes, I'd go with proofread.

LOL

Proof read looked much better in the title than proofread and was easier to read.

Actually, it was the punctuation mark which I think Joono was also trying to point out. Smiley Wink
