Has anyone ever used it to make Pesto?
Was it any good? Did you make any adjustments to your recipe?

@nevillesdaughter wrote:I have a massive herb garden all growing in terra cotta pots - big ones 75cms or so high - in full sun against a brick wall arranged on a terraced wrought iron stand and it looks like the hanging gardens of Babylon! Even have a lime tree in a giant pot (important for my husband's Coronas).
Herbs seem to like to get hot, dry out, get hot , dry out etc - rather like the Mediterranean climate I think, so daily watering of the pots - particularly in Summer, is vital.
Another good thing about pots, particularly with things like mint - it keeps them where you put them, as opposed to taking over your lawn or whaetever when you're not looking!

I liuke pots, cos i can move em around to where I want them. Your garden sounds amazing. Pics?

To me a huge terra cotta pot is too big for me to lift when full of potting mix and plants - maybe about 75cms high or so.

I have a parsley plant in a terracotta pot and it has hardly grown since I put it in there. I bought a another one and put it in the garden and it has grown big.

Thinking of getting a few herbs in pots. Do they need protection from snails and slugs or is the aroma of the herbs enough to keep them away?
