How much would a pair of 1947 chev sedans in complete, but really really poor condition, be worth?
One definitely runs, the other hasn't been tested. The interiors are **bleep**. One is missing a door. I don't think there's an real rust to speak of.

like joz said try a car sales magazine
yeah i suggested 'restored cars' magazine coz from memory (ive got a huge collection of them from the first issue)
their classified ad section is free - i think- and the magazine caters for vintage to classic car enthusiasts
i used to advertise surplus magz in any car magazine though, & did well too
advertising in a car sales mag would cost ya, haha

Nah, getting em registered is a nightmare here now, pick on the slightest of anything.
Now keeping them regoed once it has been..... just pay the bucks and all is good.

google Pre 1948 hotrod. 1948 or pre is the cut off for what is considered a "real hot Rod'.
Most show events and clubs are based around some unwritten rules and one rule is pre 1948 means it is in the original
Hot rod class with the 32 fords and the like.
Some shows will not let post 48's even exhibit.
So, in essence it is the "youngest" Hot rod that can exhibit in the oldest sections
I can see about $3 to 4 K in them.... $ 5k tops.
Try facebook and some of these group pages for a "market price"
I List on there regularly...
They can be BRUTALLY honest... Wednesdays on the save the scrappers is "appraisal" day LMAO
(search in facebooks top bar).
SAVE IT THE SCRAPPERS ENEMY, CARS BIKES TRACTORS MACHINERY.
Pre 1980's Cars, Parts & Automobilia 4 sale
Australia rusty buy swap & sell OLD CAR LOVERS HOLDEN & FORD just classic
I would see if you can find a facebook car enthusiast group that is (reasonably) close to you as travel ans pick up is
always a factor in the final price for older cars

An example below
http://www.motorex.com.au/entrants/meguiars-superstars-entrant-information/
Superstars Best of Breed and Superstars Open, are each divided into two classes:
• Hot Rod (pre 1948)
• Street Machine (post 1948)

You can search for parts in Facebook groups by clicking on the magnifying glass icon at the top right of most pages just
above the group member count.
You can search all open groups either by username or for a specific part or manufacturer without actually joining the
group.

seek and ye shall receive
and.......it looks as clean as a whistle....... nothing like a hotrod to break up a relationship
I bought this to hot rod for my now ex partner so i have no interest in keeping it as i have too many other projects already. 46 Chev sedan. Bodywork done, rust has been cut out and painted.
Needs final assembly and trim etc. No motor or gearbox. $5000 obo.
Good start to a resto or rod it. 0408XXXXXXXX Located 80Km's Nth of Adelaide

They are worth what someone will pay on the day, unrestored posibly worth upto a few hundred.
Fully restored to orignal upto $20k
the issue is you would spend $40k to get the 20 back unless you could do all the resto work yourself

there is a classic car mag that advertises such cars, just dont be fooled by what a fully restoed one can get with what a pile of rusty scrap is worth, many selling unrestored think they are worth heaps only to never sell them.
here is a start
