After reading about stars who have died that are younger than me (and not always due to the often reported drink, drugs or suicide), it's a shame Kirk Douglas has passed away but wow, he certainly lived to a good age.
It's reported that he gave away millions to build hospitals and other good works so in my book apart from his other achievements this made him a great and good man.
