Does anybody know if eb intends making a tool available to alter profile pics to include a rainbow, as facebook has done worldwide? The tool is dedicated to the U.S. amendment to allow same sex marriage that the whole world is meant to embrace, .. apparantly. Supporters of this amendment can show their support by altering their profile pic to include this rainbow. Would be great if eb did follow fb on this, it would be another great tool in deciding where to shop, and where not to.

I tthought this was the place to go for opinions - ""My parcel hasn't arrived, what do I do?"- My seller has cancelled the sale, what am I gunna do? - "Why can't I see my lists?'' All require input from members, this imput is called opinions ... got it? The opinions I am seeking might be different than the ones in your tiny world - One day you might just have an opinion and that would be party time

eBay make political decisions that impact on its operations - including very recently.

No I can't see it either.
However, the topic has trading relevance and I have found the discussion interesting to say the least.

It is not a foolproof way of buying what you want, and sellers can always lie to get sales if that is all it takes.
In my opinion it is gaudy, just as the over used symbols for other causes such as pink ribbon. They attract an unfair amount of money for their causes while other, just as worthwhile ones, with less money to spend on marketing, miss out because many people are soo hooked on a 'trend'
"unfair amount of money" my foot.
For instance the pink ribbon campaign has seved to increase awareness of breast cancer, increased funding for research and treatment supports, and saved some lives along the way too, due to its effectiveness.
Businesses on and off eBay show their support on social issues and through promotion of campaign messages in our every day lives. The rainbow is but one of many. Another is a donation tin at the counter of a shop or letting a social activist promote their cause in their shop window.

Just sayin'
No more likely to happen than sellers that sell goods that others find distasteful such as goods with racist slogans.
Except that one is about products and the other has nothing to do with products.
