Sorry posted before I'd finished lol!
Another words I don't think its up the court of public opinion to decide someones guilt or innocence, doing so prematurely can ruin lives. Leave it to the police to investigate and let it follow due process. The truth will eventually come out.

Ralph has cancelled some shows up to now, but must have been advised to show his face again. I suppose the theory would be that to continue hiding would look worse.

It's a shame if he has committed crimes against children or women but if he has it shows how easy it is to hide a person's true nature. He seems to be such a nice man but that image may cease to exist if he is convicted. I prefer to not judge him until then but I won't feel sorry for him if he has done it.

It all sounds a bit strange to me.
One woman who said she was abused decides to go the UK police involved in investigating the Saville case instead of Australian police. She engages a celebrity lawyer and a publicist. Then does a paid interview.
The other woman claims to have only seen an incident. Often what you see, particularly as a child, is not necessarily what is happening.
I'll believe him to be innocent until the whole thing is thoroughly investigated.

If the incident happened in London, the Australian police would not investigate. ??

They are both Australian citizens. The woman is based here.
Wouldn't she take it to our police?

I don't think so. She was 14, and it happened in London. He has lived in England for 60 years or so.
As is the case in so many past abuse cases, the victim keeps silent, and when some sort of investigation or publicity takes place (as in Australia now with institutional abuse), victims find the courage and support to speak up, sometimes after 50 years of suffering.

This article was dated at the beginning of this year...
...." In the last few weeks it has emerged police interviewed two women in Australia in connection with sex abuse claims.
One said she was a witness to an incident, another claimed Harris sexually assaulted her when she was a teenager in the UK."
There is no talk of children so leave the subject alone!
