What about random drug tests for people that work?
Why discriminate?

They have no business doing random drug tests on anyone.
My ex's last company did regular random drug testing and these were office jobs. It could be any time. He was once called up when he had just driven down South and they wanted him back in Perth for a drug test in an hour. I wont tell you what he said. It was their company so I guess they had the right but not centrelink fgs.
Lots of companies do random drug tests. Especially mines and fly in fly out workers.

People that work fund their own habit.
People that are on welfare, the taxpayer funds their habit.
I am all for drug testing of anyone but especially the dole bludgers

I choke to say this, but I agree with poddster.
(off to wash hands after typing that)

so what do you do poddster? Stop the welfare so they can starve on the street? Or they can rely on crime 100% for their daily existence?

They are bringing in drug tests for people on benefits in NZ.

I think it's great news. We need to start somewhere and while we're at it... If you're on unemployment then you need to be actively seeking work while studying, participating in army reserves training or doing community service every week.

As I understand it, Centrelink gives people the Disability Support Pension if they are addicted to drugs or alcohol.
As they should.
