No, I think it's about volunteer helpers that get hoity toity and frustrated with new members that have an ebay problem.

GJ is not new. Just doesn't usually have much to say.
Nor does it make sense
I snort when I laugh. Honest injun (terribly embarrassing but there you have it)
I was laughing at Karen not knowing GJ. It's not like her to miss anything. Then it occurred to me that my snort of laughter may be interpreted by some as a snort of derision at the thought of Karen welcoming someone new. Hence the clarification which apparently wasn't that clear. Sorry, I type what I think, and I don't tend to think in fully formed sentences or correct grammar)

I know
and it was this "Do we know you?" that nearly made me snort coffee out my nose, but then I quoted the wrong bit and then it was too hard to explain why I laughed, and then I didn't want to get in to trouble, and now I shall just go and sit in my corner and look at photos of water tanks

No need to put yourself out on my account thanks GJ.
I never go to the buying page, I find it boring, probably because I'm not that serious about selling or buying.
When I first started with ebay I found a lot of help from some and was the butt of insider joke for others.
I guess nothings changed?
