A type of Huggies baby wipes that have been sold in Woolworths stores and online for months are being recalled due to health fears.

Anyone who bought the affected batches of the limited edition Huggies Thick Baby Wipes, Fragrance Free in The Little Mermaid and Toy Story's Rex dinosaur designs is being warned to immediately stop using them.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has advised that some batches of the wipes are contaminated with Burkholderia cepacia bacteria, which can cause serious infections of health complications in people with weakened immune systems.
