Last couple or mornings there has been a layer of frost on my windscreen. Would like advice on best way to clear it quickly.

havent had that problem for years
i recall i used to pour hot water (boil the kettle) on the windscreen then hose it off
warning , boiling water and freezing glass dont play well together
do not use hot water or you will need a new windscreen

I live in the tropics but I do remember a credit card being handy for scraping the ice off.
Said cards are probably uselesss flimsy plastic cards not up for the job these days
They dont make them like they used to.

are you speaking from experience hawk?
it was so long ago, i think it was just hot water from the tap, bowl filled
thrown on windsheild
none of my windscreens cracked

*eye roll, yeah sure
have you read pimpy's comments?
there is a shock factor of adding hot water to a frozen windshield, and it only does further damage if there is already a crack in the glass.
my glass obviously had no cracks
