Rocklea Road

While wer'e travelling England and Germany all of next month, we'll be visiting my son who live just outside of London.

He sends me an email: "hey Mum, can you bring me some of that Darrel Lea Rock-lea Road? You can't get it over here. Bring as much as you can reasonably fit into your luggage. Milk chocolate thanks. Maybe a little bit of dark chocolate but not too much."

So I googled Darrel Lea to see their outlets, seeing as they've closed all their stores. Turns out you can get it at most supermarkets.

Coles had Darrel-Lea, but not Rocklea Road.

Woolworths had small bars of it, I got the last 3

Tried the IGA, they had big bars of it, again I got the last 3 on the shelf. They were milk chocolate same as at Woolies.

BUT!

IGA also had Rocky Road AND Snowy Road made by a company in the Blue Mountains name of "Whisk and Pin", which looks absolutely divine. Not cheap though, $12.50 for a 320gr block

What I liked though, is that it has "Made in the Blue Mountains of Australia" printed on the label.

Whisk and Pin Chocolatey Indulgences

What a perfect gift to bring from Australia as against teatowels or toy koalas!

Might have to get a bigger suitcase, lol.

Rocklea Road

Make sure you declare it through customs or they might confiscate it

Or at the very least sample to make sure it's not a health risk lol

Yummo!

Happy travels.

Declare it, but it won't be a problem.

If your son asked for Darrell Lea Rocklea Road that is probably exactly what he wants, not some other brand.

There is a Darrell Lea factory shop at Ingleburn that has opened not that long ago. Discounts on current stock plus sells seconds.

Mon - Sat 9-5pm

3 Brooks Road, Ingleburn

Really? That's a great tip thanks, Amber. I happen to have an Officeworks handy nearby. I'll check that out in the next few days. Meanwhile other ppl have told me you can get it at chemists and newsagents, so I'll keep an eye out.
