just thought, i have a lot of dog food in my pantry, 2 full and almost a full 3rd bag of Advanced Dry dog food in 1 x 15kg, 1 x 20kg and a 3/4 full 15kg. now i know that can be stored for quite a while.

but i also have aprox 40 1.2kg tins of pedigree dog food.

does anyone know how long tined dog food will be ok?

i dont know when i will have another greytmate, prolly 2 or 3 months as getting a cat tolerant one takes a while once you apply.

Foo took nearly 3 months from when i filled out the adoption forms.

if the food wont keep i'll donate it to a local rescue organisation.

I think dog food lasts quite a long time David, but I can't be sure because we don't have a dog .. however, there might be a date, although unlikely, to say how fresh it is right now.

Even so, it's a wonderful idea to donate it to the local dog rescue place as a memorial and in honour of Foo xxx

What's better than a Burmese cat...who also happens to be a tortie? :There's great colours and patterns in torties. -)

yes, i do love burmese, such loving cats and playful.

the only other breed i would have if i could afford one is scottish fold.

not sure whats happened with them, doesnt seem to be any breeders in south oz now.

not that i could afford one anyway.

kitten prices are crazy, Rosie cost $700!

and worth every cent of course to me.

Tinned food should last for at least a year, David.

If the can looks swollen, top and bottom,  then it's no good.

Rosie looks like she's taking good care of you.

She must wonder what happened to Foo.

Hope you finished that cleanout.  Or at least got a lot done.

i'm just doing the spare room, today i threw lots of junk i should have thrown out years ago, i tend to keep things 'just in case'

next i need to get all the boxes of stuff i'm selling on ebay out and reorganise into less boxes.

ive sold a lot so some big boxes are half empty.

i write on the boxes whats in them so its easier to find an item if it sells.

i only stocked up on cans of dog food a few weeks ago when it was 1/2 price.

ive checked the big bags of dry and they have use by dates in 2020 so they are fine.

having a decent sized pantry is a bonus in a small house.

As soon as you throw something out, you will need it.

That's what happens to me, anyway.

I keep lots of stuff in case I need it.

Too much hoarding.

I still keep an eye on what you sell.

I like a lot of it.  But 'liking' doesn't help your sales  hahahahahaha
