Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Deb

Having a lovely quiet day - rat man has been and it is so beautiful here I have been out in the garden pottering.  j*oono's post about her planting agapanthus reminded me that I had a few to replant so that is done.

Coffee and lunch break time here now.

Gosh the fires in Vic and SA seem to be picking up speed again.  Poor folks who have lost their homes - hopefully no lives lost though.  I was thinking of JJ and wondering how he was getting on too.

Are your earlobes managing under the added 'weight'? Smiley Wink

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good afternoon Stringsters.  I could not log in this morning, did you miss me ??

But........It never occurred to me that I was on holiday because I am an angel 🙂 🙂

I agree Laney, very inappropriate post.... but not surprising given others we have read.

This Olympic business is exhausting LOL....to say nothing of the taped shows that I will now have to find time to watch.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Prim - of course we missed you!  You are an important member of this thread - not only a founding member .... and besides, your bright and cheery posts early in the morning set the tone for the day generally Smiley Very Happy

We don't tape stuff - if we miss it we miss it but then you know I am not on terrific terms with my DVD player/recorder Smiley Embarassed

Just had an urge for some more figs .... found some blueberries AND raspberries too .... BONUS!

I am fixated on that Jeep ad and was just reminded of Flashie's grandies - the cuteness at least Smiley LOL

Re: Round Table Revisited

Laughing here at the constant reminders I get around the traps of my bridge playing days - calls of 'Madam Director', 'Madam Director' ringing in my ears lol lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

We really are 'in tune' Laney, I hear that too LOL....AND.....I found that commercial so cute that the next time I saw it I called OH to come and look 🙂

We have Fox so it is very easy to tape, you just press 1 button. Sometimes I have to delete programmes I have not watched to tape others that I think I will watch etc. etc. I think I need 30 hours in a day.

I had best get back to my orders. Have a great night everyone!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Woman LOL Laney

well, the good news is the fires seem to be under control for now. I think as long as we don't get any windy days  & some rain as forecast later in the week all should be OK.

there's still been some pretty bad property loss and I always feel for the animals, the livestock and the wildlife there is no feed for them.. I hope those effected get some assistance very soon

Evening Stringers Smiley Happy

Sorry I missed you Prim.

Deb, I have not been keeping up with the news - hope the fires have abated and that there is some cooler weather coming your way in the days ahead.

Apart from the rat man having been, have been doing very little today.

In between the half-pipe and the slaloms I have been reading some recent psychology notes about online social interaction and problematic internet use.  Sadly physical issues limit real life interaction for some but there must be other underlying causes for folks who spend an inordinate amount of time 'engaging' with others in this manner.  Loneliness or isolation perhaps? Lack of self-esteem perhaps?  I don't really know .......

I guess I am just 'old-school' and find it difficult to fathom ..... but then I am a bit of a luddite Smiley Embarassed

Re: Round Table Revisited

LOL Laney.  It might be a whole heap of monitors sticky taped up together in the shed.

My son was talking about his friends flat mate that is spending 9 hours a day playing games and yet he is putting in an 8 hour day at work.  It is kind of scary.  Surely he is sleeping for a few hours and showering and eating.  It's a worry.

I reckon evac in a few psyches on a mercy flight for the ebay ones.

Re: Round Table Revisited

It sure is a worry j*oono.  Lack of sleep would be impacting negatively on their ability to do a productive days work and heaven help them if they are doing more manual work .... downright dangerous!

It is also showing in the work students submit - but that is also the result of text-speak and little grasp of the written word.

I often wonder what is contained in the modern English curriculum.
