The table man called this morning to find out how his table was going. I reminded him about the dimensions and he offered to make another one but I almost yelled "no!" Lol

He said he made with with lots of care and it would last forever (criez) and I could pass it down to my son (hahaha!)

Real life has been hectic (but pleasantly productive) of late and it looks like I have some catching up to do around here.  I expect nothing much has changed around the traps and the scroll wheel will be getting a huge workout

Good morning (still) everyone.  I just had what I hope was a scam call but I let him speak because sort of is currently working in Bangladesh and it did happen once when he was in Jakarta.  

It was an overseas call from someone saying the were from Visa Mastercard services (could hardly understand him but he did know my name) and wanting to check whether I had made a payment recently for $700 and would I like them to stop it or the money would be released today.

I told him where to get off.  Has anyone else had a scam call about their visa because like I said?  I am a bit concerned.

Re your issue with the visa card j*oono - can I suggest you phone your bank just to check.  I know some banks do phone you if an 'unusual' charge appears on your credit card and, if it was just a scam, it will put your mind at rest.  If it was a genuine call, then they can take steps to rectify the situation.  Please let us know how you get on 

Dosed up to the eyeballs here, trying to ward off a cold or flu.  I think I exhausted myself over the past few weeks and my resistance is low.  Yesterday I sat in the steam bath for ages trying to counter the effects of whatever it is I have.  If I was a jockey I would have been pleased with the results but it did nothing to improve the cold symptoms lol lol

It hurts to laugh but I could not help myself - reading about Karen's 'addition' to her 'antique' collection 

Definitely one for the snake shed - might even rid her of her 'shed tenant' lol

I checked the account Laney and nothing has come out.  I will check it tomorrow again.  Last time we had our card skimmed someone from the ANZ in Australia called us early in the morning.  The shopping spree happened the night before.

Sadly when these things happen usually it is not the account holder that loses out and it is not the bank.  It is the person that accepted the payment for goods.  You could ask quite  few ebay sellers about that.

Certainly sounds like a scam j*oono.

Whatever the outcome for you personally, it might be wise to advise your bank so their records can be updated to reflect the latest scam.  

I have not heard of specific ebay sellers being caught in that manner but it has doubtless happened  

I suspect that my current malaise is the result of taking on other peoples' deadlines and running myself into the ground ..... this too will pass.  The 'tween season could also have something to do with it .... that and 'consorting' with one who had their flu shot last Thursday lol
