morning all ![]()
you know it's amazingly warm here for this time of year, not that I'm complaining, I, think it's great. We had some cold weather about a month ago. but generally it's been pretty mild so far. I wonder if it will stay that way? Hope so.

Winter doesn't officially start until next week. The dog is confused. He is shedding like mad instead of putting on his winter coat. I'm about to superglue him because I'm sick of vacuuming.
It's not too cold here Deb but it is still very grey and dreary. I'm just looking forward to Thursday and Friday when we are supposed to be getting some sun again.

Good afternoon Stringers ![]()
Definitely not the nicest day to have to go out. I had made arrangements to deliver a box of lemons to the parents of one of our friends and could not really renege on it. The West Coast Highway tracks north of the river beside the water and it was looking very grey and very angry and places like Scarborough were looking very depressing. That place never looks much different imo - I suspect they were trying to re-create a Brass Coast there. Ghastly!
At least we managed to get rid of some of our crop of lemons. Wish the rats would leave the navel oranges and mandarins and take some lemons instead ![]()
Still having internet problems but found it it is a general system outage so I don't feel so bad lol lol. Thank heavens for dongles!
Nothing much to report really - catch up later.

Good afternoon Stringsters
I was soooo stressed this morning I forgot to post LOL....but....
Its all over, decision was made, ....breath held whilst verdict was being given... very difficult and heart pounding stuff... and we were then dismissed. We will never know the outcome of our decision because it was a 'closed court', a fact which I think will create a problem for closure but we will see.
Now to try to get back to an as normal as possible life...

They let you out Prim!!!!!!
Not something you want to go through again any time soon. I seem to recall you get a period of grace before you get called up again but perhaps that has changed. Sure hope you don't have to go through that again in a hurry.
Great to have you back on deck so to speak ![]()

At the moment, if you are over 70 you can use that as an excuse to get out of serving however, the Sheriff said that it will be changed in the near future.
So, if you are planning to be norti, you stand a good chance of someone with a whole lot of life experience (whether they remember it or not) judging you 🙂

Apparently you can be called every 3 years, one juror in our panel was on his last panel 3 years 7 days to this next call up.
I was also told by others with multiple call-ups that if they were unavailabe at one call-up due to a previous appointment, illness etc., it was only a few weeks until the next and the next until they finally served. That is their experience, not mine.
