Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Glad it's not near you Joono, I saw some pics on twitter & it looked close to houses. You might have some smoke cover tonight

Re: Round Table Revisited

I just had a look.  It does look bad!  We have quite a good breeze here today too which makes it harder to control.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Evening folks

That fire IS looking nasty.  It is in the Swan Valley adjacent to Whiteman Park so quite a lot of fuel in the area too Smiley Sad

As j*oono said Deb - it is a long way from both of us - north of the river.  It is going to be a long hot summer right across the continent and this is just the precursor sadly.

Not sure I am going to be able to stay awake for the meteor shower tonight - pulled a muscle in my back this afternoon and took some painkillers ..... feeling exceptionally drowsy now.  Thought I would have a nap to prepare but the wind has come up and the noise of the trees on the roof foiled my plans lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

I gave up at 10:30 and I had a fantastic view.  It's a shame that no one told the neighbour over the road to turn his flood light off (business owner) and one behind us. I probably should have asked them myself.  I turned out all of our lights.

I did see a few, especially one big one.  The boys saw a few more than me with much better eyesight. Interesting that the meteors seemed to be going in different directions.  The big one I saw  and some little ones went from right to left and then I saw a little one that went left to right at a different angle. Oldest son said the same.

I'm sure we will have some photos on news sites tomorrow.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Managed to stay awake for it j*oono - we got quite a good view too.

Did not realise the Belt of Orion was so 'low-slung' lol

They were radiating out in all directions but now we have cloud cover so time to give up and wait for pictures tomorrow which will be better than my eyesight at least

Goodnight j*oono

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

I didn't get to see the sky show because, having woken before 4am yesterday, I was too tired to stay awake. I am glad you both got to see it 🙂

Still working Laney but hope to take some holidays by Thursday, depending on certain things at work.

Spraying is going to happen this morning after I leave as I didn't get a chance to get out of the house yesterday.

Have a great day everyone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning everyone.

I've been doing a bit of spider hunting myself Prim but only inside.  We get those very black shiny spiders that get in the eaves and up high near the ceiling around light fittings.

I was sitting here yesterday and I felt a tickle on my arm and I brushed it and saw one running across the floor so I sorted that one out and then looked up and saw the family so I sprayed.  Not easy because the ceiling is high and it's a cathedral one in that area.

One dropped down on the desk and I could see it wasn't the normal type.  It was a HUGE white tail spider. I thought they were mainly garden or low down spiders, not light fitting spiders.

I haven't seen so many orb webs in the garden as we've had this year but I think that's a good thing isn't it?  I leave those alone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I don't get it.  Why are we not allowed to discuss one of the most important and serious events in Australia?

It's all over twitter and tv stations.  What makes ebay so precious? Just sanction the hate mongers and the usual alarmists and let the rest of the reasonable posters have a duscussion.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Too right Joono.

Goes to show you - eBay as with all of their ideas, policies, defects, feedback, charges, fees, inability to answer a simple question and all the rest.

Now gone;

FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
