Shopping is ...... done!!!! It has a bit of a tale too but I won't relate it here, just will say that one person will be very spoilt when she opens her presents on Christmas day.
Wrapping tonight and cooking tomorrow. I have an order for a lemon meringue pie so I will start with that.
Deb, as I read your post it made me think that is was Christmas Day tomorrow and I did a bit of an internal panic. But is was only that you are very well prepared.

Hubble, bubble, toil and trouble .........
Are you all slaving over hot stoves? I didn't get to the stollen until late in the day either Prim ![]()
The thought of your lemon meringue pie is making me salivate ![]()
I achieved my plan of having a lazy afternoon and I plan on continuing it through the evening lol
Turned the reticulation on to revitalise the hydrangea after the warm day - love that smell of damp earth after the heat of the day.
Waiting for dinner to arrive - no cooking for us tonight

I can't fit stuff in my fridge!
I've got the big pork leg in the freezer which will come out tomorrow and the whole ham leg for the brother in laws place.
This is not good. Where am I going to stick the trifle tomorrow? I might have to drive it down to it's place of destination or get out the big eski and send someone for ice.

A perennial problem at Christmas time ...... fridge envy lol
Could you not put the frozen leg of pork in the esky rather than in the fridge?
It's frozen state will cool down the esky and I am guessing the pork needs defrosting anyway.
Good luck in sorting it out j*oono

The pork must most definitely come out tomorrow and go in the eski to defrost but I won't need freezer space. I need fridge space.
LOL 😄 Fridge envy made me chuckle. I've hated my fridge for years but it's done a good job considering how old it is now.
Did you notice that the bear in a bowl is in the same bowl as the flowers that you all sent me?

Ahhh - I thought you might have been considering putting the pork in the fridge to defrost slowly - my mistake lol
Sounds like a bag of ice in the esky might be the best alternative
Fridges are never big enough at Christmas are they - fine during the rest of the year but impossibly small right now!
I have to be honest and say I did not recognise the bowl as the one we sent - can see it now of course .... with that pic. Remembered the colours very well though - had to be careful what I chose lol lol
Seems so long ago now thankfully hey!

It does indeed but I would never forget your kindness.
My brother gave up smoking since Loraine died. So sad. I think it will be 4 weeks this Friday since he gave up.

He is doing well giving up then j*oono - particularly at this very difficult time for him emotionally.
I suppose it is a sort of 'salute' to her in his own way.
Christmas is not going to be an easy time for so many is it. It is all so sad

The rest of the house is already in the land of nod so I better make a move in that direction too
We have friends coming round for a pre-Christmas brunch tomorrow!
G'night j*oono and good luck with your fridge dilemma lol
