Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Oh this is so sad. A large number of dogs and cats have been killed at a boarding kennel.

Re: Round Table Revisited

yes, I found that pretty upsetting too Joono, I imagine the cats would've been in cages indoors but I don't want to think about it.  Woman Sad

also been thinking about all the livestock losses and the native animals, Hope something is being done for the survivors

they had a lucky escape here. Channel 7 filmed at the end of BIL"s street on last mights news. I've seen some pics taken from their veranda, it was a close call

this is a pic I snaffled from one of my friends. Taken on the boat on NYE . the closest fireworks you can see are from a barge on the water, but behind it you can see the similtaneous fireworks going off on the Melb rooftoops

Re: Round Table Revisited

Very nice! I didn't see fireworks on NYE but as usual we will be doing the usual for Australia Day again this year. Luckily as you probably know I have a sister that lives only one street back from the Swan River fireworks display in South Perth.

I am going to try out the panorama on my phone this year and see if I can get some good shots. Not of the fireworks. They always turn out disappointing when I try to take a photo of them.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I'm trying to clean up the place for a building inspection tomorrow (if they show up). I thought it was getting a bit warm.

41 degrees tomorrow. YUK!

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good afternoon Stringers Smiley Happy

Friday just about wiped me out.  I was so busy and still did not get everything I needed to do done so rather than bringing it home I went in again yesterday.  I try to keep our weekends free but the best laid plans ..... you all know how it goes lol

You t'othersiders have been having some ghastly weather.  Hope you are enjoying a cooler break now ...... if it is any consolation WE are going to cop it tomorrow.  Have been keeping a weather eye on those bushfires - sent shivers down my spine having been actively involved with the RFS back east and the aftermath of the fires over here in the west.

The loss of houses and personal effects can be devastating and take a long time to come to terms with.  Words cannot describe any loss of lives - even injuries are so difficult to come to terms with but the loss of livestock/pets/native wildlife is also incredibly sad.  I am sure I am not telling you anything you do not already know .... just wanted to put it into words.

I hope not to bore you with my tennis chatter but just wanted to warn you that the 'Summer of Tennis' has started and Prim and I will no doubt develop swivel necks and/or square eyes over the next few weeks Smiley LOL

Decided to forego the Hopman Cup this year and watch from the airconditioned comfort of home lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi Laney, hope your state is fire free tomorrow, those high temp, high wind days are a recipe for disaster. I expect we'll all get a few more days like that before summer is over.

Joono, are you having a building inspector over to check out that cracking in the walls?

Re: Round Table Revisited

That's the idea Deb.  I haven't heard any more from them but I'll be calling in the morning to confirm because I hate waiting in for people that can't be bothered to give me a time and might not show up.
