Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

Nics, good to read 🙂

Laney, Thanks for the wave. Isn't the tennis wonderful (but exhausting). OH said at breakfast this morning that he will be glad when it is over because he is tired. But I think giving him 'the look' may have geared him up for another week's worth 🙂

No work for me until Tuesday as I am using up a bit of excess Annual Leave I have to take. Council clean up here, so we are putting out things we don't think we will need in the future now the grandchildren don't sleep over and some hobbies which are no longer viable. I seem to acquire just as much each year so in reality we are just making room but telling ourselves we are downsizing helps to put out items for which we have fond memories.

GD did well in her HSC and found out last night that she got into Sydney University and for the course which was her first choice, so we are all very, very excited for her. She worked very hard under extreme conditons to achieve what she did. I think she may have the same determination as her mum. I am very proud of her.

Have a good day everone

Good morning Stringers Smiley Happy

Nics - you were saved a trip to the airport!  Great phone call to receive .....

Fantastic tennis Prim and what a heart-warming display of sportsmanship by Tim Smyczek in his match with Rafa.  Unknown by many viewers and even the commentators, he displayed what seems to have all but disappeared in sport these days.  I do hope he becomes a regular player on the world stage in the future - he played so well in difficult circumstances too.

Wonderful news about your GD Prim - you have reason to be very proud of them both Heart

Re: Round Table Revisited

Lucky you NIcs.

Prim..............congratulations to your grand daughter.

I am babysitting in shifts today.................one grandson arrived  7.30 this morning.........and his Dad is picking him up shortly for a camping trip.

And the other four grand children arrive in about an hours time.

I did a bit of cooking this morning...........I try not to eat much bread...............so I made a zucchini slice................good thing is I am the only one who eats it.............so it is safe in the fridge................(believe me there are not many things that are.)

It is still muggy here................but you can tell rain is on the way..............I bet it arrives after tea when hubby and I got for our walk................we didn't go this morning.

I could not convince our grandson to come with us................and his Uncle would not get out of bed.

I hope the pelican is there again.............I have no idea why I like pelicans................but I always have.......weird.

Re: Round Table Revisited

She is only just walking on the court so I came up to check my emails. We are also trying to watch Australia play China in the Football, so there is a lot of channel surfing happening here.

I too am exhausted from the Lleyton match. I sooooo wanted him to win. The first two sets took me back many years but it was only a matter of time before he lost the edge. Oh well. He should be very proud of the way he played.

Off now to watch Sam win 🙂

Re: Round Table Revisited

Yes Deb he is.

Not my favourite player but it was quite sad watching him looking around the RLA for what could perhaps be the last time.  He may choose to retire - who knows.  He played the first two sets well then Becker got his mojo working and just stuck in there to win.
