Good morning Stringers
Prim, as I was reading of your problems I was thinking 'ombudsman, ombudsman' but as I read down, I see you have just suggested that course of action Deb. Given the special circumstances, I would think that the ombudsman would take the whole issue very, very seriously unlike your service providers. I am confident you will be able to explain the circumstances very clearly to them and get some action quickly.
Fires all around Deb and lightning strikes are certainly not helping ![]()
Flashie, I don't think I could watch that film. The book itself brought back so many memories of my Dad whom I had to guide through his journey into darkness. The written word was heartbreaking enough - I don't particularly want to relive it visually.

Good advice everyone. OH was resisting Ombudsman approach but I will keep pushing it.

Gosh things down in Waroona are sounding bad!
The ABC is doing a fantastic job keeping folks informed.
The evacuations from the aged care establishments would have been particularly difficult with disoriented and infirm aged folks having little or no idea of what is going on.
Little or no rain on the horizon either - just increased winds later in the day ...... a ghastly combination

One at least that we have heard about Deb and the fire appears to have entered the township now too ![]()
Poor people - of course houses can be replaced - just hope lives are not lost. The fireys will be exhausted

yes I agree, hoping no lives are lost.. Do you have hot windy weather there today Laney??
We have cool weather, it's unbelievable really, our lawn is even green which has to be a first for this time of year.

Only about 29 here at the moment Deb but then being on the coast it is lower than those to the east. Flukey winds at the moment but predicted to increase later in the day and that is of particular concern down in Waroona.
We just get the benefit of the Freo Docker (Doctor) although even that has been almost non-existent in the last couple of days .... most unusual. It did not come it at all yesterday.
Our verges are brown and crunchy - so easy to see those who reticulate theirs .... we don't lol
Our lawns are green but only because we reticulate them

Evening all
Well that is one championship match over for the year - one more to go and life (post tennis) can return to some semblance of normalcy lol
Didn't take long for the second shoe to drop did it lol
Juggling a couple of IDs must be difficult - you have to wonder why some bother ![]()
