Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Thursday tomorrow thank christ.  We had a major blow out with rubbish bins.  The normal rubbish and recycling bins are both chockablock and we still have one day to go.  I think it was something to do with the boys having to clean out their rooms for painting.

Flashie, my cousin in England's daughter had severe epilepsy to the point that she was hospitalised for quite some time.

Purple day if I can find an arm band and support research.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

I don't have anything purple to wear today but I will see what opportunity today brings to acknowledge the day in some way. There is sure to be something where I work but I didn't notice any signage yesterday.

The council told us it was a requirement for the asbostos removers to wear protective gear but it was the type that did not break up into fine particles and we would be safe. We are keeping the doors and windows closed anyway.

I am glad I was not home yesterday until late. The digger driver was filling a metal truck with building rubble and bricks. His method was scoop up a load and the bounce the digger several times so small rubble and dirt fell through the base and then tip the rocks into the truck. The noise was unbelievable and I feel sorry for anyone with small children or babies who needed to sleep. He finished at 4.50pm. OH was a little jittery by the time I got home.

Flashie, did you know if you were coming or going by the end of your Wednesay. It seems you had a few extra dramas packed into what is an already busy day.

Have a good day everyone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Prim.............I have to admit the dog recue story is a bit embarssing really.

I was standing out the front talking to the real estate agent............and there was this pomeranian across the road being chased by a black and white cat...............the dog panicked and ran across the road to me.

I gabbed him and read his collar...............his name was Basil.

I thought I recognised that name.............and then it dawned on me.

My neighbours daughters dog is called Basil.

So I knocked on their door.............and sure enough.................it was their daughters dog.

The cat that was chasing him was sitting on the doorstep looking across the road at Basil..........and looking quite pleased with itself...............as only cats can do.

Joono................hubby does what the kids call "Postman Pat"...............he delivers our spare bags into our neighbours bins on rubbish day.

It is absolutely pouring down here.........................the grand children just finished breakfast and I told them they could go outside and play until it was time to go to school..............they looked at like I was crazy.................(and on a good day they could be right...........Cat LOL)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning everyone.  Horrible gusty easterly winds here this morning which makes me super cranky but a possible storm later.

I'm off to Spotlight later.  It seems to be the only place around here now where you can buy proper wool and not just yucky acrylic.  Even Textile Traders near me is getting rid of there wool and they have hardly anything left but I did buy some nice balls of black Pe Core for $1 each.  They were $8 a ball but they are clearing everything out. No other colours.

Flashie, I was going to put a padlock on our bin a few weeks back.  I went outside just as the rubbish truck was leaving and noticed that both our next door neighbour and the one across the road had forgotten to put their bins out to the road.  I knew my bin would be full by the next week.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good morning Stringsters

Its my day off today. I have already dropped my car around for a service and am about to start a day of reorganising my garage.....such fun ........but at least I will be on the far side of the house and the demolishing noise will be deadened a little.

Looking down onto the work being done, I do wonder why the guy driving the digger who for 3 days has been working amongst the rubble and dust being created by bouncing the bricks in the digger before dropping them into the tip truck, is not wearing asbestos protective gear or even just a mask for the dust. I wonder what his lungs will be like in 20 years.

Have a good day everyone

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good Morning everyone.

I could not go for my walk last night because of a thunderstorm..........and can not go this morning because it is raining................I am starting to get a bit of cabin fever.

Last nights thunderstorm came without warning...............it was the loudest thunder I remember ever hearing......................even the birds did not seem to see it coming................there were hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of seagulls just flying around in circles high in the sky.

It was like they had no idea where to go and what to do.................you could hear them squawking................it went on for about half an hour.
