Good one Laney. An excellent start to the season.
Why don't you like Breville? Some of my best kitchen appliances are Breville. I love my slow cooker and kettle.

j*oono just bad experiences in the past so have avoided them for years. Silly really and I am heartened to read your comments as I was still a little concerned about it!
The lady in David Jones was French and, like me, has a magimix processor she swears by so understood my preference. She was the one who pointed out the benefits of the Breville in comparison when I had not even considered it before.
I know, I know - she might have been on a bonus scheme with them - but I judged her explanations to be genuine and reasonable, having spent a considerable amount of time discussing the pros and cons with her. Your comments have confirmed my feeling that she was indeed genuine.
Sometimes you just have to trust don't you lol

Morning everyone.
I'm in shock. It's so cold! It's still only 13 degrees at the moment. I didn't have much success with the roofing man. He said that he can't fix it yet until the timber has been replaced in that section but the builders will only fix the roof, not the timber.
That means we have to get the timber replaced first but he told me that he will work on the builders because he says they did the roof join badly in the first place. It's the verandah I'm talking about, not inside the house.
We shall see.

It's difficult to explain Deb. It is in a join from the corner of the house. They have put in a gulley underneath so that you can't see the join but at the top they have left it open a bit so that all the leaves and debris can be blown in but you can't clean it out. Hence the leaking and rotted wood.
I took this to send to them so that they could see what caused the problem. They said they would fix the roof but not replace the wood.
Edit to say the ex took the photo with my phone. Not me. No way would I get up near the roof lol

wow, that's a pretty bad job Joono - I can see how the timber underneath would've rotted

Looks like you had cowboy builders Joono.
I am waiting to snipe something I am watching............I have not done that for a long while.........I usually just buy-it-now.........................wish me luck.............![]()

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana - the name of the new Princess!
Gee j*oono what a shonky job! They should be responsible for replacing the rotten timber too, given it was their poor workmanship which caused it.
Busy day today - a few hours in the office but achieved quite a bit.
Blender day tomorrow - at least I will have time to get it out of the box.
The chill has settled tonight - warm bed calls
Catch up tomorrow
