Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

You t'othersiders really have copped some incredibly cold weather Deb!

We seem to have missed out on the cold weather so far.  At the moment sitting here in shorts and a t-shirt ..... doors out onto the back terrace and garden wide open!

Have you ever considered putting in central heating Deb?

Re: Round Table Revisited

We have had a much colder winter this year than last year Laney. Can't even imagine e shorts and T shirts atm๐Ÿ˜€

I would so love to have ducted heating, but we can't do it, the brick walls of each room go right down to the ground (if that makes sense) this house was built solid. I suppose we could if we ripped up the floorboards, but we'd risk wrecking these lovely Baltic floors

Re: Round Table Revisited

Laney, that's weird and Deb and Flashie would laugh at me but I've been really feeling the cold this year even though I know it's not really cold.

Today I am wearing one of what I bought yesterday.  I noticed that Target had some Merino wool thermal tanks and Tees (OK, thermal undies) but I thought they might be itchy to wear.

Yesterday I thought I'd take the chance and I've got one on and it's brilliant!  I might even save on electricity.  Not itchy at all and so warm.

Lucky I bought a couple as they were nearly sold out.  Once we're into winter any new stock brought in is in preparation for spring.

Don't you have access to the foundations through a small door in the outer wall?  There would be no need to rip up the floorboards - just cut a hole for the vents and put some old brass vent fittings in?

That is what I did when I installed mine in the mountains.  No floorboards wrecked in the process.  Couldn't be without it up there lol

Re: Round Table Revisited

Maybe I just have more padding than you j*oono Smiley LOL

We have not used the gas heating so far and only put on the RC aircon a couple of times and that was mainly to keep LL warm when she is not feeling so good.

Re: Round Table Revisited

No door, no access Laney all we have are old metal vents on the outside walls Also the block slopes and the house is pretty close to the ground in some spots.
