Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

Sitting reading about Windows 10 and trying to decide whether I reserve a copy.

Have you done so Deb?

I know j*oono has and seems to like it but I really cannot make up my mind.  I am tempted to wait until we replace this PC.

I have got so much work on this one I am terrified that any change might impact on that.  Am waiting for our new office computer to be built so I can get rid of a heap of stuff on here.  In the meantime, I might just bide my time - call me chicken but prefer to err on the side of caution

Re: Round Table Revisited

You are just trying to remember when my birthday is, aren't you Laney ๐Ÿ˜„  I'm hopeless at remembering birthdays.  I know Karen's is very close to mine and I still can't remember when it is.

I don't blame you for hanging off with W10 if you're using your computer for work stuff too.  It would be terrible to lose stuff but I had no problem with mine.  The good thing is I have heard that you can still do a system restore to back before the switch but you have something like 45 days to do it.

I think it's a bit of a joke that Harvey Norman are using a free upgrade to windows 10 on their computers as a selling feature.

My son's switched to windows 10 too and they prefer it.

Good bargain Deb!  That one's not quite my style but I do love Mimco bags.  I am due for a new one.  I tend to use mine until they are really tatty and mine is now reeeeeaaaallly tatty.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Sprung dammit lol

Yes I was.  So transparent hey

I saw some of those HN ads and thought ...what!!!!  Pretty deceptive aren't they - as if THEY have paid to have it installed as a bonus.

Like you I am also on the lookout for a new bag.  I have already had the lining replaced on my very favourite one and now the leather is looking tired and worn.  Mind you I have probably had it for more than 20 years lol.  Have been looking at a particular Oroton one which is as close as I can get to my current Oroton but it is $349.00 so I think my old one will do for a while longer.

Besides they are out of stock right now Smiley LOL

Re: Round Table Revisited

I had forgotten about that really but I think we still have some party pies in the freezer.

You must be a lot less rough on your bags Laney if you've had yours for 20 years.  My last one was an Oroton one.  I still have it somewhere but the strap is now attached with a curtain ring ๐Ÿ˜„

Good leather bags are so expensive now.  I found one recently that I liked very much but it had the makers name on a huge plaque on the front of the bag and I don't want to walk around like an advertisement for a dopey designer.

Re: Round Table Revisited

I rotate them j*oono which is probably why they do last a long time but there is always a favourite isn't there!  If you amortise the cost over the years of usage they are realy not that expensive but one tends to forget that when looking for a new one.

I still have some in use which I bought when I lived in Italy oh so many years ago lol

That is the only issue I have with a replacement - any identifying feature was low key when I bought the last Oroton one but not so now - hate labels with a passion.  They should pay us for advertising and NOT for the ummmmmm 'you know what' called The Story of O!!!

Reminds me of a lady who purchased a new camel hair overcoat at considerable cost (with the label slip-stitched onto the sleeve near the wrist).  She thought the label was meant to be retained on the sleeve lol.  I was afraid to go near her with a pair of scissors Smiley LOL
