ah well I'm glad you're not buying one of those leaf blowers. Awful things they are. we have neighbours who's gardener just blows stuff all over the front of our place- not to mention the noise of the thing. It doesn't bother me so much, but OH that's a different story ![]()

Good evening Stringsters. I am still recovering from the heat. I was awake most of the night and got up around 3am because I had given up trying to sleep. OH got cross and she he would keep waking if I wasn't there so I had to go back to bed LOL. It was a looooooong night and long day with little sleep and tons to do.
We were meant to have all staff back on board this week but there are still 3 missing so work is still full on.
One good thing happened though. We have an employee who is very lazy a fact that has driven me nuts sometimes. Today she slipped up and mentioned she was going for a job interview in another department and then said she felt a bit nervous. So I did a mock interview with her and gave her tips and clues on how to present herself and the type of questions to expect. I was so very helpful LOL LOL LOL

Evening Prim [rose] ![]()
Thought you might have had an awful night with that heat! The cooler weather is hopefully giving you some respite now.
With any luck Prim - your tips and clues might help her out of your office! You wise owl you!!
Deb I hate, hate, hate the noise as Murphy's Law meant that they always seemed to be using it when I was up against a uni deadline with an assignment - except for the 3-4am ones but I swear if they could have used it then - they would have lol. Their driveway is adjacent to my office window and it seemed ALL the leaves were right outside it too ![]()

I am ever thankful the little man next door does not own a leaf blower because his lawn mower drives us crazy. He mows 3 times a week and an extra time after we mow ours because for some reason he grabs his mower and does a duelling mower routine. I might add, they have the worst lawn in the street. They give it too much love.

Cut to within an inch of it's life Prim ![]()
I can picture a duelling banjos scene with your OH and your neighbour going ..... blade for blade lol

So glad you posted Prim. I was a bit worried when you weren't already here this morning. There's not much worse than a night that's too hot to sleep.
Laughing about you helping the other lady apply for a new job. Hope she gets it lol

Shark attack near Mandurah - fortunately not fatal
Seem to be so many more around at the moment - does not bode well for the summer season although shark patrols have commenced and will continue through the summer

Didn't mean to worry you Deb but I was in a bit of a tizz with tiredness when I got ready for work and forgot to post.
I hope she gets it too. She said when she came back that the hints I gave her were part of the interview so she thinks she went well. I really do wish her all the best with getting it but I can't fib and say I will be sad to see her go if she does. She has frustrated a couple of us for years.
It was funny the way I found out about the interview.
We were to have a meeting some time this afternnoon to go over a new process. She came to my room and said that she was going to be away from the office for a short time in the afternoon.
Because I wanted to organise my time for our meeting I said "When are you leaving?".......and she replied....."I am only just having the interview this afternoon so I don't know".
I only meant what time was she going to be away from the office. Clearly, she is not good at keeping secrets LOL LOL LOL

Gosh there have been a lot of shark attacks this year. We have had our fair share over this way too.
Mind you most of them have been at a time when the sharks come in for a feed, dawn and dusk. Why oh why don't people buy brightly coloured wetsuits? Why add to the danger by dressing like a penguin or seal?
