I thought I had stumbled into the music thread for a moment LOL. Hi Imastawka, I have not clicked on the links (haven't done so since the last fiasco) so please excuse me if I don't comment.

Thank you to all those who sent warm thoughts and hugs, it is appreciated and passed on.

I am watching the Olympics when I get a chance but work is getting in the way, darn it!.

I have just remembered that last olympics I guessed the number of gold medals we would win at the start of the games and had them below as a siggie throughout the games. ESP worked and I was correct. I can't even begin to guess how many we may get this time but I just hope that those attending stay safe and have the time of their lives.

I am just sitting here with the RC powering away - trying to dry out and warm up.

I feel like even my skin is water-logged despite having changed into warmer gear.

Like you Prim, I don't click on links as they have nothing to say to me - just let them go through to the keeper.

All peaceful in my little corner of the world here 

Enjoying what I do see of the olympics but again, like you, work is impacting on that.  I just wish there was some indication of what is being telecast so I can watch those things that particularly interest me.  Also get a little bit aggravated when broadcasters say 'oh she/he only came 6th or wherever (instead of a medal position) - for heavens sakes .... they have already WON by being talented enough just to get to the Olympics .... damn those couch potatoes.

I had totally forgotten your accurate prediction for the last Olympics - so much water under the bridge - your ESP rarely fails you though

Hi Laney, I  didn't see a weather forecast for over there today but it seems you got a bit of rain. It is cold here and I think I might go to bed to watch the Games i a little while. 

OH was complaining earlier that we just cannot find out what is on and when. It is extremely frustrating.

And, I totally agree, to even get to the Olympics is an achievement in itself.

Sorry to share it Deb - it still has not totally left us though .... we have 3 or 4 more days of it 

Feel like we have had a win tonight getting to watch the cross-country

BUT

the coverage is terrible and you don't get any update timing or points lost until the very end - very poor.

Thats my complaint for the night .... still enjoying it

We are spreading the joy Deb .... still got the rain here though so we havn't done such a good job of sharing it around 

Census done and dusted - I am sure avid genealogists will be pleased with our efforts in the future

Hi folks.

Cold and overcast here.  I've almost forgotten what warm feels like.

I finally bit the bullet and went to see the eye specialist today, and the first op to scoop my eyes out, peel the skin off them and put them back in again is scheduled for next week.

I am delighted for the Women's Rugby Sevens and their gold. They sure earned it!

I am about to sit back and watch some replays so I can soak in a bit more of the atmosphere.
