Gosh I did not realise how long it was since any of us posted in here - guess we are all very busy with this and that ...... hope it is all good for you
A mixed day for those of us who follow the footy ......... for Nics and Deb ...... losses albeit not by many points
For your kin Flashie, for TGSE's team and for J's and my team - a WIN for us - by the skin of our chinny chin chins (sorry Deb) .... for Prim's OH the match is not yet played.
An interesting season - if the AFL interests you lol lol
A few things on the go here at the moment - plans progressing for a complete retirement to get into some travelling again ...... it has been too long.
Hope you are all really well and happy.
~~~~Freddie, Sandy and oaks ~~~~ for you three too
You must have been on the edge of your seat at the end of that last quarter, Laney. Do you have any fingernails left?
I'e had a lovely Mothers Day: chocolates from no 1 son. phone calls from the others and flowers from no1 (only) daughter . We went out for a lobster lunch with her and granddaaughter. Mr Elephant had booked it for him and me as my Mothers Day present, but DD asked if they could join us and insisted on paying.
Oops - Happy Mothers Day to you all ...... thanks for the reminder TGSE
Sounds like you had a lovely lunch AND those phone calls and chocolates. Looks like the weather held off for you too.
A real nail biter is spot on! Poor Brandon Ellis from the Tigers was understandably over the moon about his last goal and I suspect everyone else (including us) figured that was what it was until ........................... well - you know the result! Mundy would have had the memory of a similar situation when we were playing the Cats top of his mind I suspect ...... thankfully he overcome the jinx of that. A really exciting finish.
An exciting season really despite Port nudging us just out of the 8 with their result in Shanghai today. What will be will be though.
We had a great Mothers Day yesterday.
We all went for a picnic at Richmond.
A trip to the Lollyshop was the highlight for the kids.
We had to take our son to the airport really really early yesterday morning.
He was off to Queensland to spend a week or two with some relatives.
I hope everyone else had a great day.
Hi Laney - Lovely to see you pop in and spread a bit of cheer.
All's good in our world - cept for my dicky knee (too much netball in my younger days)
Hopefully it will be all fixed by about September all ready to visit Flashie country
by next year
Think seriously about the R word it's pretty good all day to do nothing and some days
nothing to do all day
Hope Prim and family are well ~~~~
Laney... it hurts to admit, that was a good win to Freo yesterday....
we watched the game over at Mum and Dad's place yesterday, most of us are Tigers supporters... we were jumping up and down (even Dad with his walking stick) near the end of that game
Hope everyone here had a nice Mothers Day
Our youngest son has been in Queensland for a holiday with his daughter and girlfriend.
Our eldest son decided to play a joke on him.
So they invited a work mate around. (our boys work together)
They went into our sons bedroom and got their work mate to get into our sons bed and took a picture of him.
They then sent it to our son and told him that I had rented his room out while he was in Queensland.
They must have been convincing because the next day when I signed into Facebook I had a message from our son.
He was not happy that I had rented out his room.
Oh dear.............
I guess that it was payback for all those "facebook wars" that our kids play on each other.
