at last we have some nice weather here..30 today.. have been enjoying it while I can... a couple more days and then it changes again.

My youngest osn (the yuppie) has a corporate box at Perth Arena for the Wildcats' home games. We keep saying we must go up there one night and watch a game with him. I've never watched basketball but aparently it is very exciting and you don't have to understand it to enjoy it - you just  order snacks and  champagne and sit there chanting "de-fence! de-fence".

It's been a while but never let it be said the contributors to this long-standing thread are a spent force 

Here in the wonderful west we are in the middle of the Fremantle Festival and enjoying some wonderful weather for it too!

Some amazing installations ........ some not so amazing ...... but catering for all tastes.

I think summer has actually arrived!  I certainly know that it is exam time cos the jacarandas in our garden are displaying the jacaranda blues which are always a reminder of the exams.  

Eye surgery complete and the difference is amazing ...... colours are so much brighter too.

Some will *sigh* when I mention the tennis season is well on the way ..... but it is 

Guess we should get through the Festive Season beforehand though.

Well that was another Melbourne Cup Day done and dusted.  Used to enjoy the sweeps for a laugh here ...... the three hour time difference just doesn't work for us here - it seems strange watching it around midday ...... so we didn't 

35 here today and hotter tomorrow .... summer has finally arrived with a bang.  I can hear the beach calling ...... cool clear water ...... but a few nobbies around so will give it a day or two before I venture in.

Have been wandering around the traps having a read in airconditioned comfort

The market in new scroll wheels could be a money maker ........ there seem to be so many scroll wheels which obviously don't work 

So much sadness in the world ...... have almost given up reading the news ......... ignorance is definitely NOT bliss though.
