So glad we're up here Deb - bit cold down south.
It was a surprise win that apparently
its been more than a bit cold rose, sounds like you made the right move to me
hope all is going well and that you're looking after yoursef as well... that 6 weeks of being the designated driver and doing everything can be a bit stressful

All going well thanks Deb. Only 2 weeks now until he can drive but I usually go with him anyway!
Weather is beautiful as long as the wind keeps away - the wind can get a bit chilly.
Yes, totally unexpected for the Bombers to win.
We went to NZ last year Deb and Frank had a goodchat to Dusty's father. He had Harley bikes at one of the harbours - he was a good chap to talk to.
Off for lunch at the club today so best move.

~~~~~ we are back to the real world
Had a wonderful holiday caught up with my school friend
who came down from Noosa for the day - she has lost 26kg
and is so so thin after some pretty radical chemo for BC - she
had both off and starts rad's about 1st July it was lovely to see
her and her partner. We ate slept ate some more and shopped
and walked and swam and played in the spar - was wonderful
We have booked for the same time next year but for longer. I
weighed myself this morning and I can't believe it i'm the same
weight as I was when we left. I have poked my
nose in for a read around and OMG some people.
Freddie i hope you told your friend about me , sounds like we have had the same regine
and now im in remission , so hopefully she will be also very soon
seeing you will have cheered her up im sure
on 24-06-2018 02:32 PM
Boo ooakes Yes I did tell her about you from
what she said her chemo was about the same as your's as well
she was telling me everytime she had her chemo as she was
leaving she would tell them she would see them on such and
such a day - because she knew she would be back in Hospital
for a transfusion because she was so sick - poor thing. Her C
lump was rather large because she ignored it thinking it was just
her bra rubbing or the bone in her bra causing irritation. I have a
lovely pic of us both standing on the balcony at our apartment on
the GC her with her hat covering her head with us both laughing
our heads off
nice to see you back Freddie, sounds like you've had a wonderful time. It's always nice to catch up with old friends. but so sorry to hear what she's going through
26 kg is a huge weightloss
well done on not putting any on yourself, putting on weight is a danger of going on holidays
and yes OMG at some
glad to hear things are going well for you Ooake
oh Freddie she did the chemo real tough
as you know it affects people differently , some get through without to many side affects , others ( like your friend )
get dreadfully ill i was middle of the road i think , i had to stay on the steroids every dose because of that bad reaction i had
forget what it was called but i ended up in emergency , the steroid fixed me up though
( think it might have been called riggers or something like that )
she ignored it like me , weird how we do that , i just told myself it was a cyst getting bigger ( idiot )
was the size of the palm of my hand and i still didnt tell the Dr until my entire breast turned purple
like your friend our brains just try and trick ourselves into thinking its nothing
the picture sounds lovely , i bet you had a lot of fun catching up
Good morning folks
How lovely to see you post here. Welcome back Freddie .... from what I have been reading you and Mr F had a lovely holiday and you sound as though the mobility problems are 'behind' you now (sorry I am laughing asd I write that). That is the best news!
Sandy - so pleased you had such a great birthday with your lovely man. It will take him a little time to get over the massive surgery. I am convinced that is a major difference between men and women ..... our ability to 'bounce back' more quickly given our 'mothering' roles in life. I bet you are not regretting your move north as winter sets in down in your old stamping ground
Ooaks you are one amazing lady with your generally bright cheery positivity. I have followed your journey since it began and was relieved to read you had decided to undergo the treatment ........ we need more folks like you around
Just heard that the Fed Express is returning to the west for the Hopman Cup next year. In the meantime, Wimbledon is just about to start, Kyrgios is a disgusting grub and our bye weekends are over Deb (with your Tiges sitting on top of the world). Still there is always Masterchef in the interim
Had a hectic weekend and the work paid off yesterday with a meeting about a local issue so now I have some time to relax and catch up. Have a great day Friends
