Freddie, 2 of our friends of the older generation have got leukemia - my bridesmaid has had it for about 10 years and just takes a tablet. Our best man and Frank's oldest mate has it and was in remission but it has raised it's head again. They seem to be able to control it though.
Supposed to be 23 tomorrow - hope so.
How's the weather in Melbourne Deb?
Sandy, it's been a very cold winter here, with very little rain. We had a northerly wind blowing the other day, which is pretty weird at this time of year

Laney, it's very distressing news about the Thai rescue worker and it shows what a dangerous situation they're all in.. How they're going to get all the boys out, I don't know
on a lighter note.. The Tigers V The Crows at the "G" tonight
we will be glued to our seats for that one

Sandy by besties hubby has a friend who lives here who is on the tablet
and he's doing really well. When her hubby seen the Specialist he asked about
the tablet for himself but from memory I think he was told you need to be in
remission before they will put you on the tablet - with luck after the infusions he
may be classified as being in remission so could be given the tablet then.

Hello lovely Laney, get rid of those can't b's and get that cheery
happy gal back here - I was going to have a nanny nap today so
I could have an all nighter at the tennis but time didn't allow it so
I will need to be satisfied with maybe a couple of games.
Now, wasn't young Alex a little fighter sadly he meets Raffa next
round.
Sam, well what can I say about Sam - I kinda thought she would
be in the beaten list Ebden is still there not
sure who he meets in the round. Tomic is back at his mansion
counting his millions and dreaming of a win. Try not to be too sad
Laney - I understand why you are upset about the boys, but don't
worry about the keyboard warrior's life must be so unhealthy for
them - I doubt they have any real friends. Have a lovely night and
enjoy the Tennis and the Tigers v the Crows. I'm back to walking the
walk I was doing prior to the fetloch breakdown

Good afternoon folks
Sorry Freddie ..... trying to get my 'happy' back but when I read that FIFA have offered to transport those poor boys in Thailand to the Grand Final 'if they get out in time' I can only see it as an opportunity to get some 'air-time' for themselves! A cheap shot and appalling commercialism imo.
Its cool and cloudy here today - matches my mood and I am not usually a moody person.
Big night at Wimbledon tonight - unfortunately our girls in the doubles did not make it through but perhaps a good idea for them to focus on their singles matches anyway.
The Dockers are playing up in Darwin tonight ..... might just give that a miss in favour of the tennis tonight
Masterchef tomorrow will be interesting. Sorry that Brendan lost out but I have no doubt he will go far with his career anyway - such a lovely young man and talented too. Samira is becoming a favourite of mine - along with Jess of course.
Hope you are all having a happy day/weekend. I am sure Sandy and Frank will be having a great time away .... just the two of them ..... will be a nice change for them even though they do love their family so much. It has been a torrid time for them lately.
