Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Laney do,you remember when some of my family were in Japan during the earthquake and the tsunami

I'll never forget how worried we were.

the weather has gone crazy.. deadly heatwaves elsewhere

2-4 million people to be evacuated in Japan is huge

Re: Round Table Revisited

Deb ...... hi Smiley Happy

I DID remember but was being circumspect about it as I was unsure whether you spoke about it here on the open board ...... hence my reference to kith and kin Smiley Wink

That was an awful time Deb - fear of the unknown was particularly evident too.

Unconfirmed reports just through about a ninth boy out of the cave ..........

Re: Round Table Revisited

Cannot QUITE celebrate fully yet ..... until the medic and the three Thai SEALS are reported safely out of the caves.

Fantastic news so far that the team and their coach are out safely ........ just waiting for the 'icing on the cake'

Please don't forget the retired Thai SEAL who gave up his young life at the beginning of the rescue mission ....... thoughts are with his family.

You know, seeing so many nations come together voluntarily to undertake these rescues, wouldn't it be a great memorial for that deceased SEAL if the world could learn from that and come together in the future for the benefit of all.  The impossible dream I guess but worth dreaming isn't it?

DOCTOR AND THE THREE NAVY SEALS OUT SAFELY NOW!!!

Wonderful result!

With the news that the rescuers have joined all of the Wild Boars players and their coach out of the flooded cave, it's worth remembering the sacrifice of Saman Kunan, a former Navy SEAL and volunteer who died doing prep work for the rescue.

Mr Kunan died on Thursday night after entering the cave to lay oxygen tanks along a potential exit route.

RIP Mr Kunan

Goodnight Friends

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good afternoon Friends

Vegged out yesterday- it has been a draining few days one way or another for so many.

Caught up on Masterchef - underwhelmed with the pressure test results and the subsequent judging.  Fingers crossed for Samira and Jess in tonight's show.

Watched Federer last night - right to the endSmiley Sad

Was really disappointed to see him lose but Kevin Anderson certainly deserved the win.  His post-match interview was a credit to him also.  It is good to see some new blood in the semi-final at least.  I wish him well.

Hope you are all well - or recovering - or healing - or simply enjoying your day Smiley Happy

Strange sort of day here - cannot make up its mind althought late showers are predicted tonight and rain for the next few days.

Not complaining though Smiley LOL

Re: Round Table Revisited

Hi folks Smiley Happy

Enjoyed Masterchef and the results last night.  Jess was AMAZING!   The challenge certainly played to Jess's strengths.  Ben surprised me too.  Was so happy that Samira survived.

That super reward challenge smacked of Gary's bias towards Chloe I thought - helping her to get her dishes up when she was obviously lagging behind in service.  Oh well - not a first world problem.

Just heard in the ABC about a FB post from a young tradie in Traralgon regarding respect for women.  Thought some might like to hear it just in case you did not catch it either.  I don't 'do' Facebook but others who do might already have read it.  Twice is better than not at all Smiley Wink

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good message in that report laney.  If it gets through to even some of the young blokes, it will be a start.  He must

have had good parents.... and comes from Traralgon!!

Good luck in the footy - not sure who's playing who.  That's how much notice I take.

Don't watch Masterchef.  Kim and I have been watching House Rules seeing we are building - they actually started levelling our block today Smiley Very Happy.

Very sore ribs but head is healing.

Low here tonight for a change - 3 degs.

Goodnight all.
