Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Re: Round Table Revisited

HAPPY BASTILLE DAY!

French Onion Soup, Coq au Vin, Croissants and Souffles to you all Smiley LOL

Sandy I thought you might know the lad given he was from your old home town.  Good message either way.

Great to read the block has started to be levelled .......that is a milestone for you all.

It will take a while for all your bruises to 'come out' - slowly but surely for you gal Smiley Happy

I have not been paying much attention to the footy with Wimbledon in full swing.  Left Isner and Anderson a couple of sets in last night and thought I would find out the results this morning.  Got tempted to check when I got up through the night only to find they were still doing battle .... ended up watching right to the end Smiley Surprised

About time the match rules were adapted to avoid that sort of situation in future - not good for the game, for the scheduling but most of all not good on the bodies of the players given one will have to back up again tomorrow.  Kevin Anderson's post match interview was, once again, a measure of the man!

Going to be a 'do nothing' day for us today - need time to recover from the match.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Yeah that was the Tigers for the taking with that last miss of everything.

And Castagna never misses 5, he usually kicks a few.

Good lesson for them though.

I am still confident we will finish Number 1. Smiley Happy

Re: Round Table Revisited

Morning folks - at least it still is morning here Smiley Wink

Pleased with results at Wimbledon in the womens singles ..... Serena is not my favourite despite her being a fantastic sportsperson.  Hoped Nadal might win too but that was not to be.  Good luck to Kevin tonight!

Was looking forward to escaping to the country last night but those programmes were ditched for the tennis - so we watched the resumption of the Nadal/Djokovich match instead.

Conflicted at the moment - the Pie and the Eagurls doing battle.  Hate the thought of the Pies getting to the top of the ladder so am barracking (today only) for the Eagurls.  Your match yesterday was a real nail biter Deb and Kopes - so near and yet so far.

Looking forward to some light relief with Masterchef tonight Smiley LOL

Another greyish day today with a few showers.  Had the 'go slows' yesterday so instead of cooking we picked up Thai from our favourite restaurant - a good decision even if we had to venture out in the drenching rain to collect it.  Lightning and thunder meant we shut computer down last night ...... that was good tooSmiley LOL

~~~~~Waves to Friends, Stringers or not, posting or just MIA at the moment~~~~~
Re: Round Table Revisited
I take it she ele is happy Woman LOL
Like you laney I was very happy with the result of the womens
final - Kerber is such a quite respectful competitor goes about
the job with skill and determination. I was hoping Nadal would
get up but not this time the final will be a tough ask for Anderson
after such a tough game against the Fed. It's on late here I might
watch some of the game.
Beautiful day here sunny and lovely out of the shade but a cool start
this morning with -1 cooling down again now for another -1 in the
morning.
 I was very happy with the result of the womens final.
Same here, always nice to share it around. First Wimbledon win to Kerber I believe.
Good win for the eagles.
Re: Round Table Revisited
She sure is Freddie so I am sure she will appreciate this I to complete her celebrations Smiley LOL
Spoiler
TGSE - you are a writer - I am an editor (and some might say a pedant also) so I am sure you will not take offence Smiley Wink
I agree with you Kopes - it is good for the 'spoils' to be shared around ....... gives up-and-coming players heart that they, too, can aspire to win a Grand Slam.
I thought there had been some previous criticism of Djokovic's habit of bouncing the ball so many times before each serve on the grounds that it was unsportsmanlike gamesmanship but he seems to have started it again.  It MUST be a distraction for his opponents as it is tempting to count the bounces.
TGSE thanks for your crossed fingers on behalf of the Dockers - doubt it will make any difference though as they are in their *cough cough* rebuilding phase.  Despite that, it would  be good to beat Koch's team purely on the grounds that I dislike him as much as I dislike Eddie Everywhere Smiley Embarassed
Good to see Frank's team have a win Sandy!  I read about your friend's condition - like living on a knife edge.  So awful for them both.
Me too Freddie and I counted 16 as well  Smiley LOL
You cannot tell me it is not a distraction for his opponents.  Count him tonight Smiley Frustrated
