Round Table Revisited

And so Lord of the String said unto the peoples, "Go forth anew. Seek a land you can call your own."

The people saw it was good.

So, on the last day the people said their solemn goodbyes and began the long journey to the promised new land.

And so began the new land and its people were joyous!

Welcome, to the Return of the Round Table known as...

"Round Table Revisited" (RTR)

Freddie

Did I miss your birthday? So sorry Smiley Sad  Belated birthday wishes m'dear ........

Oaks I hope your visit to the specialist goes well - that they do not keep you waiting and that the results show you are really on the mend.

Concerned about Sandy - wish she would hang a 'house full' notice on her front door to give her the chance to really get on top of her health issues.

I worked this morning, had a dental appointment this afternoon and tonight we are off to celebrate a huge win we had locally .... should be fun Smiley Happy

Loving the pictorial records of the visit of Andrew and Meghan - they are such a joy to see and so obviously besotted with each other.  It is wonderful to see the time they are taking to speak with/shake hands with/sign autographs for all those folks who have waited for hours just to see them.  The photographs of them with the littlies are particularly memorable.

Storms predicted here tomorrow and possibly on Friday also.  Love watching the 'real thing' Deb - from the security of front or back verandahs and if that is not possible then there is always the colourful BOM Smiley LOL

Hello Ladies

Life has taken precedence these last few days!  Freddie - your poor neighbour is indeed fortunate to have such a caring neighbour.  I hope all goes well with her hip operation but suspect the decision may have to be made to move to a nursing home 😞

In a lighter note, did I read the Aussies won the Constellation Cup?  Must have been you standing by with your magic footwearSmiley Wink

Asthma sure knocks sufferers around Sandy.  My sister has suffered with it all her life - hypnotherapy worked for her years ago but fortunately some great medication has eased the suffering a bit (thankfully).  Trouble is, I doubt anyone who has not suffered has any idea of how someone feels ....

I was just reading some of the 'old' treatments for asthma and would you blieve that 'asthma cigarettes' used to be sold until the mid 20th century (they apparently used to contain belladonna)!

It is slightly overcast here today but comfortable enough to get out into the garden if I find the get up and go.  We have the 'big garage sale' on here today and probably elsewhere in Australia but I really couldn't think of anything worse - giving it a BIG miss suits me..... we are trying to downsize.

Looking forward to the official opening of the Invictus Games tonight - thankfully the ABC will be covering the games and we will no doubt be blown away by the courage, strength and downright determination of these wonderful athletes Heart

Your value is immeasurable ................

A great day here in the wonderful west.

Weatherwise not spectacular but the rain held off long enough to be able to go to the concert in the Fremantle Arts Centre - not our usual music preference but fun nonetheless.

Then we went to see a new exhibition at the Maritime Museum - French Explorers in WA ........ now THAT was fascinating.

Still blown away by Harry's performance last evening - what a fantastic speech (and with no notes or autocue).  Very moving!

Looking forward to watching something of the Invictus events today.

Hope you had an enjoyable day my friends and that your health issues are not presenting too many problems.

Work tomorrow so will say goodnight ..... have a good start to your week.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Wonderful speech laney - in fact the entire opening was professional and moving.

I looked at all those people missing limnbs, walking on bands or pegs and thought - they served

for their countries ..... for us.

Sounds like you are enjoying your semi-retirement laney.   Great.  Waves to everyone.

Re: Round Table Revisited

Good afternoon from the wonderful west.

Easy day at work today - a day filled with laughter and smiles - and that always makes it worthwhile.

Could not wait to get home and check out what has been happening at the Invictus Games.  Lucky to find sitting volleyball was in full swing - the Aussies V the French first and the UK V Jordan which has just finished.  Now Germany V Georgia is about to start.  Blown away by all these amazing athletes - dealing with their physical issues - please do watch them if you can.  They deserve all the support we can show them.

Appreciate what we have my friends - remember that these athletes served each of their countries - for their fellow countrymen no matter their origins.  You are so right Sandy Heart

Perspective brings many benefits.

~~~~~ to friends, to you Sandy, to you oaks and to our Freddie - my other friends of long-standing know I am also waving to them ~~~~~
Back the Invictus Games - catch up later perhaps .... or tomorrow
