Work finished for the day/week and we are off to a really early Christmas celebration tonight. Beautiful night for it too
Such exciting news from Melbourne with the successful separation of Nima and Dawa. What wonderful surgeons we are blessed to have here in Australia. May the girls continue their recoveries without any issues.
I have read your posts my friends but time is getting away from me right now so have to fly. Catch up over the weekend.
Be well, happy and most of all safe in this strange and frightening world we seem to be living in

Loved that, too, Laney. We are truly blessed to live in this age where such operations are possible.
Be well yourself.

It was wonderful that the girls operation was successful, but the day was marred with the terror attack in Bourke St. Tragic that an innocent person was killed, Pellegrini's was a favourite of mine when I worked in the city
Christmas celebrations already Laney?? Makes me realize how close it is, I have 4 family birthdays to get through before Christmas. I'm exhausted just thinking about it

There's a nice little article in todays 'West', page 18, about some good things happening in your neck of the woods Laney.

Good afternoon Friends
We don't get the 'West' TGSE but thanks for the heads-up anyway. Always some good things happening in this neck of the woods (along with some not-so-good things).
Been busier than the proverbial one-armed paper-hanger .... the silly season is well and truly upon us Deb. Not being curmudgeonly about it I prefer to leave it until closer to the date.
A day off today and I have the 'can't be bothereds' so I am not going to be bothered. Had so many plans to complete tasks but they will remain incomplete now .... I am not even going to look at emails
Hope you are all ok - Freddie with your ankle problems, oaks with your 'redness' and Sandy with your awful cough.
Will catch up when I can - be good gals

Just calling in to say hello. l seem to be so busy since l came back from my holiday, I had so much I needed to catch up on..we're supposed to get a big storm here this afternoon..but I do love a good thunderstorm. I noticed both cats are lounging around just outside the back door, so they can make a quick escape indoors when the storm starts.. they seem to sense these things

oh well.
Storms are becoming a normal event in our lives.
We just have to sweep up the debris!
lol.

Does a falling tree make a sound if no one is there to hear it?
In this case, there WERE people there and they COULD hear it!
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-11-20/giant-uwa-moreton-bay-fig-tree-collapses/10513804
A moreton bay fig tree in the quadrangle at the Uni of WA cracked open and a large part of it split away.
Fortunately no-one was hurt and observers were able to film the event but it is sad to see this happen to a tree with such history.
Here in Fremantle we have just lost the Moreton Bay Fig trees which were outside the town hall (contributed to by council inaction) and they are being replaced with London plane trees! I feel sorry for asthma sufferers in spring time when the plane trees shed their 'fur'.
I have been AWOL again - have some catching up to do.
Will have a read around and BBL
