oh wow Laney... I hope they can save the tree

Hi Deb
They have had the tree doctors in and hopefully will be able to save it (even with an altered canopy).
Reminds me of a tree on the Razorback Mountain south-west of Sydney. Anthony Hordens (one of Sydney's oldest and biggest department stores) had a tree (think it might have been an oak) as their crest and a motto of 'While I Live I'll Grow'. The tree on the Razorback was identical to that and we as children used to comment on it every time we drove past. Not sure if it is still there and the department store has long gone. Sorry - I am waffling here with childhood memories which would have little or no interest to anyone else
A perfect day here today - those high blue skies and sunshine. I had a hair appointment today - was good to get on the road with the roof open and the music blaring. It is only 45 minutes away but an enjoyable drive nonetheless.
Sandy is in hospital at the moment - sometimes an enforced rest is the best medicine (along with ABs)
Freddy still kicking along - well not quite kicking but getting there nonetheless
Ooaks keeping them all in order - like herding cats
The Festive season is approaching with a rush - trying to fit everything in is getting difficult, particularly since we are taking a few days out on the loop at the beginning of the month. Hope you are all managing to get your preparations underway ....... if you prepare

Laney, you made me laugh ...herding cats..haha
id have to be good to get Sandy and Freddie to slow down and behave
we have not been into sydney for about 12 years , so i sopose it's changed a lot since then even
we used to go for a day out reg to places like Darling Harbour and dif museums ... ahh memories
would you believe we were huge goer outers , but day not night , always prefered to snuggle up and watch tv
together at night
it's very sad when those old trees come to there end , used to love the huge old trees in the parks

Ooaks. I was in Sydney a few weeks ago.. youre not missing much, it was like a big construction site and difficult to get around. It must be because of that light rail they're building. There just seemed to be construction going on everywhere and you can't get away from the noise of it

They are beautiful deb and freddie. Freddie, have you found the games? I still play the crunching game from last year, I see they have a "smashing" game this year.

I like the games Sandy... there was a smashing baubles one a couple of years ago and I must've kept it for 6 months , so I could keep playing it.. I haven't looked yet, but I'm hoping it's similar
