Good afternoon friends 

It has been a while but you were right Deb - you would not see me much whilst Wimbledon was on lol.  Watched some wonderful matches - the results were not always what I would have preferred but Simona Halep was a fantastic Ladies Champion.  If Ash was not to be the winner then Simona was next best.

Lots of other 'stuff' going on in our lives here but hopefully it will settle down a bit in the coming weeks.

Oh Nics I am so very sorry about your beloved Oscar.  The loss of a much-loved pet is heartbreaking and whilst you never quite get over it, replaying the good times you shared you can be therapeutic.  I am sure your Grandies are being great companions though 

Footy?     Hmmmmm what can I say.  A one point win is better than nothing (sorry Prim's OH) - these past weeks have been trying but your boys Deb and Kopes have been powering ahead.  Well done.  I am sure there are a few of my friends who would have been delighted with the Dons win too   I was secretly delighted with the Pies win over the Eagurls (despite disliking the Pies) but your win over them was extra-special

Between the tennis, the cricket and the football.. there was so much going on.  It was a shame to see Ash Barty out.. but she'll be back next year and she did us proud

the Tigers are looking much better now than they were a month or so ago.. I really thought we were out for the count with 10 crucial players out

On another sporting matter - Mack Horton standing up for 'clean' sports in South Korea is to be applauded.  Lets hope that the mandarins at Swimming Australia back his stand - swimmers from other countries certainly have!
